Not bad, but id prefere to lay a bed of mortar rather than 5 spotting and overtime they will move and eventually crack. reminds of how groundforce use to do slabbing.
@wcwrickrude i see guys layin them everyday ....... one guy with an 18 shingle to 2 cement on top of compressed type 1 and the mix is dry......... few days later you walk on it and feel it moving which is pointless when paying.
i prefer to put down the type 1 and go over it with the whacker and put a good bed of mortar down 3 or 4 - 1 mix they never seem to shift =]
id imagine with the dry/crap mix they wont bond.... so when it rains and freezes if they are stuck theyl boss anyway?
What would be the best base/mix if I want to lay slabs to park my pick up truck on?

@scottishlad2k10 for the bed of mortar mix, should you use builders sand or sharp sand?
