  • @CVersailles : Thanks for your comment. And sorry, it was misunderstood. My parrot "Paulie" is a mâle too. I'm Belgian so my english is ont very perfect ^^

  • @MrLoverSnake: Are you, by any chance, more comfortable in French? (French is our mother tongue...)

  • I've exactly the same but she died today at 1:35 a.m. She doesn't speak but she always cried. I'm very sad :,(

  • @MrLoverSnake: I'm sincerely sorry for your loss... Note that Babi is a HE...

  • "Oui oui oui oui! "

Love the part where he's on the floor having a conversation with the table leg!

  • Note that Babi now also speaks English: see "(French) Talking Bird Li'l Babi Speaks English!" and "Incessant Talking Budgie Li'l Babi" on my channel (in the latter, he does Morse code with a toy in his foot while talking...).

  • ADORABLE!

  • Thank you, shadowfaxx1: note that Babi now also speaks English (see "(French) Talking Bird Li'l Babi Speaks English!" and "Incessant Talking Budgie Li'l Babi" on my channel).

  • i want your bird- it's so cute!

  • Babi is almost 6, gotahc: you would do better getting a young budgie...

  • What a cutie :)

  • Thank you Ta2Jew: for a total blast of "Babi cuteness," please see "The CUTEST Budgie Li'l Babi" and "Budgie Li'l Babi Kisses on Cue" (on my channel).

  • Ha, french budgie. It would be awesome if someone made a vid with a parrot(s) doing all the languages and/or accents, like those accent impersonation videos.

  • Hee, hee... Ours only speaks French, English and Budgie. But I bet you would need many more "people" as teachers than parrots!

  • how can u really hear all of that?... or ur just putting stuff u thought u heard? nothings freakin clear just a bunch of whistles

  • The captions are a translation. The REAL speech is listed in the vid's description. One must train one's ear to comprehend a budgie... Here's what I suggest: open the speech in the description so you can follow along, do not look at the vid, just read along as the budgie speaks. Surely you can hear "Bonjour," "Allô" and "Babi"... (it helps if you understand SOME French). Do this a couple of times and get back to me.

  • AT 0:05 I HEARD SHIT UPS

  • The full text of Babi's speech is listed in the vid's description.

  • @CVersailles What a calm reply.

  • happy new year god bless you

  • Thank you, ambarawio: same to you!

  • O_o

  • merry christmas

  • Merry Christmas to you, ambarawio! All the best for 2011...

  • fake

  • WOW! How shrewd! Thousands have been taken in, but YOU have exposed the deal: the budgie itself is actually fake and the whole thing is animated with the most advanced technology... Of course the hundreds of people who have seen and heard our budgie "in the flesh" during the past 5 years will be shocked to discover that we can pull this off in real life as well as film!

  • a french budgie :D

  • Not a "French" budgie, but a Canadian "French-speaking" budgie...

  • @CVersailles so cuute

  • He's a sweet chatty! Kisses for Li'l Baby! :)

  • You are very perceptive, MySirion: kisses are what Babi likes the most!

  • my birds are so noisy now!

  • Is that because of Babi talking in French? Try Babi's English talking vid on them, maybe that will calm them down! ("(French) Talking Bird Li'l Babi Speaks English!")

  • Babi is really lovely! Probably also a language talent too!

  • Babi also speaks English as his second human language and there is a link in the description of this vid to one of his English vids (in that one, his speech is found in the description). He is also pretty good at recall and likes to solve "problems" (see my "budgie" playlist for pertinent films). Actually, Babi is the best all-around pet one could ever hope for!

  • see my bugie

  • He's a blast! I have subscribed! I guess you don't lack entertainment in your household...

  • Babi is SO cute!

  • Thank you melovesparakeets: we're glad you concur with our assessment of Babi's cuteness...

  • Hello

I'd just like to say thank you for sending us all another video of sweet L'il Babi. He is such a little ray of sunshine. Your many videos have given me a lot of pleasure.

    Kindest Regards

    Margaret

  • Best regards to you, Margaret, along with a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Thank you for your kind comments.

  • And a Merry Christmas to you and all your loved ones

  • thank you claire that answers my question on how old babi is now lol

  • Going on 2 years in this vid, and he will be 4 this coming September.

  • Great litle bird!!!

  • Thank you!

  • I dont no french, but that bird do!!

  • He also speaks ENGLISH if you are more proficient in that language... (See "(French) Talking Bird Li'l Babi Speaks English!" on my channel.)

  • It`s sooo sweettt:-x

  • Glad you enjoyed it. Thank you for viewing.

  • PLEASE update Babi. I just have to know how he

    is, and thanks.

  • I have just uploaded a new vid. It is not a recent recording, but rest assured Babi is just as lively now and in top form! (And thank you for your concern)

  • Wow! what an awesome bird, and very smart too! I miss my Cockatiel dearly.. he flew away and stayed in a tree in my yard for 3 days before collapsing off the 70 foot branch and passing away .

  • Thank you for your kind comments payndew. I'm truly sorry about your cockatiel: I have heard that when a bird "escapes," one chance you have is to immediately take his cage outside; they become disoriented and can obviously not recognize their home from the outside; but there is the small chance that they might catch a glimpse of their cage and come back to it. So, if there is a next time...

  • very nice....I like it wery much and they are all very cute.gratulation!!!!

  • Thank you diatr: We appreciate your taking the time to comment.

  • Well hi Babi! Nice to see you again!

You're awsome like always! Never change!

  • Thank you for watching and commenting!

  • Wow, he really caught on to the French accent of the language. I'm more used to Canadian french! Adorable, very well taught little bird!

  • Thank you Areeane, but I am a bit surprised by your comment: my husband and I both speak «Canadian French» and that is what our budgie is imitating. A Parisien accent? No way!

  • Really? I might have been mislead, then, it really sounds like parisien french to me! :) But different provinces have different french accents, which one are you from?

    My mistake, sorry. :)

  • Absolutely no harm done and no need to apologize! My husband and I are both born and bred in Montreal.

  • I was also born in Montral. Kudos! :)

  • I don't know what's cuter. The fact that he speaks French, or the way he says "Bonjour".

    Adorable budgie.

  • Thank you Akihikio: Yes, he's very good at "Bonjour" and pronounces it quite well... But we think he's just as cute when he speaks English...

  • This is creepy as hell...

  • Creepy? I think he is creepier when speaking English, his second language -- see "(French-) Talking Budgie Li'l Babi Speaks ENGLISH (18 Words)" on my channel.

  • aww =D warm, warm, babi's little kiss

  • Scary? You mean the way he talks?

  • i like how he was talking love to that chair leg.

  • Oh yes, anything is an excuse for talking love with Li'l Babi: a chair leg, a soccer ball, a wooden perch... He likes to be confirmed in his status: the most loving and adorable budgie in the whole world! (That's what he often says, but in French...)

Thank you for taking the time to comment mafrek!

  • aw ur budgie is so talented!

  • Thank you angelll4lyf: he IS talented in the language department (now speaks ENGLISH as well: see the vid where he has 18 English words).

  • Does baby prefer speaking french or english? Can he tell if you are speaking french or english... like if you talk french he speaks french, and if you speak english he will speak english? I hope that question made sense!

    I love Babi!

  • I don't know if he PREFERS one or the other, but he knows a lot more French words than English ones. He therefore speaks more French than English in general, and French IS his mother tongue (what we speak at home). He HATED English at first and would not have anything to do with it (didn't "sound" right), but when he finally came around, he seemed to love it. Most often he is constantly switching from one language to the other...

  • Very very cute. What a sweetie.

  • Thank you. He's at his sweetest in the movie "Affectionate Li'l Babi" (see my channel).

  • I'll check that out. Thanks.

  • Very adorable!

  • Thank you. You can also hear him speak English in another movie on my channel.

  • cute budgie :)

  • Thanks: we think he's the cutest!

  • You have a VERY adorable and smart bird. I think it's cool how he can speak two languages!

  • Thank you Disneyluver0977: since we are bilingual, we thought it best for our budgie to also have a second language!

  • Cool!

  • I understand french more then I can read or write it and I understud everything your budgie said. so cute.

  • That's very helpful, acqumen, thank you. It's mostly easy to understand your own budgie, but you always wonder how much of the speech others can grasp...

  • That's soooooo cute! He's such a soft, sweet speaker using French language! Absolutely adorable!

  • Thank you Rottolescatole. Babi can now speak ENGLISH as well... (See "... Babi Now Has 18 English Words")

  • OMG your cute budgie looks just like my Phage did. He was an excellent talker too. How do you say budgie in French?

  • It is called "perruche ondulée"; "perruche" means "parakeet" and "ondulée" refers to the "ondulations" on the wings. "Budgie" is obviously easier to learn, but Babi has now mastered both without any problem...

  • Oh I'm going to have to write that down and memorize it. I wonder if that comes from the 1800s because when budgies were discovered the English also called them Shell Parakeets. The species name undulatus means wavy lines refering to the lines on the back and wings. So now I know how to say budgie in Spanish, Portugues, German, Japanese and now French. Hurray!

  • Wow! You are more advanced than our Babi, who can only speak French as his mother tongue, and now English as a second language! (Although he does know a few more words aside from "budgie"...) (P.S. Make sure you prononce the acute accent on "ondulée" = "ondulay")

  • Oh not really. I only speak Spanish but the others I know just how to say budgie. EEP, I'll probably pronounce it wrong since French vowels are different from Spanish and German.

  • If that isn't one of the greatest things I've ever heard/seen...

  • Lovely speaking budgie.

  • I love the bit where he shouts "Bonjour, bonjour", and runs toward the camera!

  • Wow, she has quite a vocabulary! I have never heard a budgie speak French before.
