Everyone understands "evil" to be a negative, detrimental, destructive, undesirable thing. If anyone claims otherwise, then ask them if they'd like evil done unto themselves. Despite this truth, still, evil is greatly perpetuated within the world & its all produced by man. Obviously the perpetration of evil is desirable unto man. Otherwise, while knowing that evil is bad, man would not engage in its enactment. This reveals that man is innately compelled to do evil & from his freewill, chooses it

@squareboys1 I smiled when I read your comment. As far as credentials go, Berlinski went to the best universities in the US . His opinion have as much weight as any other general scientist or philosopher. I suppose you really have to weigh the arguments yourself.
having actually done actual research in actual mathematics and having done original work in the subject my credentials there are better than his. more to the point I can and did state the riemann hypothesis without the colossal errors of this "mathematician". I've taught at several universities in europe and north america
