its not a deleted scene they made 100s of alternate endings and alternate ideas of how things happened. loads of the alternateendings are on youtube and this was instead of the big fella who nearly kills lionidas

We can't say these giants didn't exist. The timeline 300 was set in was before Christ, so nephilims must still be around. The Jews were killing lots of them, don't forget.
