I've tried just about everything, and nothing has worked. The only way for lyrics to appear is if Microsoft releases song packs, which they've already done.
That's pretty lazy of them... Since they can remove lyrics they should, in theory, be able to remove the music and then scan the melody for the notes and put the bars up before the song begins. And syncronized lyrics should work...
I can't say that ALL old iPods will work, but my old video iPod works just fine, as did the iPod Shuffle and the old Nano. I know my iPhone doesn't work, but that doesn't surprise me. Based on my experience, any old iPod "should" work.
As for how it judges you, it appears to be completely random. Whenever words are being sung, so long as you say something, you're awarded points. It doesn't matter when you say them or what your pitch is. That's why I said this mode is pretty useless.
so the game can support ALL iPods? even the old ones? Plus, when you import your own songs, do you still get judged on pitch and whatnot? I know they don't have the lyrics, but I can always search them and I know lyrics to all my songs too...
well the words not being there isnt that hard i know the words to 97% of the songs on my ipod and thats easily over a thousand......

What if you have synchronized lyrics on the ipod or the mp3 for a song... Would they appear?
