HP sucks! My dad bought a HP Media Center PC in 2006, and it broke less than a year later, and he had to use an old Compaq from 2003. I had a Compaq (after HP bought them) and it sucked! Get a Lenovo, they are built to last, and they have great customer support.
That's odd, I've had HP laptops for 4 years now. The one time I had to replace one, it was my fault. Still under warranty, and 3 days later I had a brand new laptop delivered to my house. Wonderful customer service for me. Perhaps you were rude to them? If you treat them like humans they are much more likely to help you out.
Also; Macs? loled. Look at the technical specs, $800PC>$1400 Mac
@TeenageBibliophile You have to be kidding!?! I sent the computer to them for repair 3 times and 3 times it was returned NOT FIXED. Rude to them - Yea by the third time I was! The computer was less than 1 month old!
Not sure if I'll be the first one commenting on this video about a still working HP laptop, but my HP laptop is almost 2.5 years old. And has no issues whatsoever. My guess is that HP (and most brands for that matter) make great products. But when there's a defective one every now and then, that's where the customer nightmares begin. Won't say anything about their customer support because I haven't had any issues yet.
@benjidia You mean yours still working after 3 years? That's awesome! Or did you mean you got yet another replacement? My guess at that point you've switched to either a Mac or some other PC manufacture like Dell after your done with your current HP laptop?
@K83b2 After 3 failed attempts at fixing the one that broke, they sent me a different one. This was after HP told me they didn't have any to send me in the US. If I wanted a different one they would have to get it from China. About 2 months without a computer later, I finally connected with a REAL person at HP who had one in her office that she sent. It didn't get a lot of use for a year because I didn't trust it, but I gave it to my college son when his 1 1/2 year old HP bit the dust.
I spent about $1500 for a top of the line HP laptop and of course after the manufactor warrenty expired it broke. I had a friend who is a computer tech look at it and he said it wasn't worth fixing so I bought an Apple macbook pro and love it.... I will never go back to using a pc again.
Maybe you just don't know how to use them and you broke it lol? That's usually the main cause... However HP does suck, I will agree with you on that! ;)
Just pointing out that most computer related problems are user created. I should know I'm a technician. ;)
@Iconoclast6750 and I've been using computers since they first came available to the public around 1982. The internet connection broke within 3 weeks! Not something I could have done on my own.
yeah HP is Piece fucking shit , Compaq was garbage company and HP bought Compaq out no wonder their shit sucks, you remember the Comaq persario?? Those are what HP products are now expecially the HP laptop Pavilion DM series they all fuck suck. they are another compaq company. shit shit shit shit shit and fuck them. and fuck pavilian laptops they suck and they all suck. junk ware. IBM and sony laptops are much better. Never buy shit from them again.
last week i bought an new hp pavilion dv6-6170sl (one of the latest ones) and i'm already planning to give it back because of the damn noise coming from the fans, people this is a common problem with the hp laptops mine is high performance but they haven't improve those damn fans i felt like shit today while my friends asus was running autocad and a lot of heavy designs programs at the same time (just as mine in termsof speed and graphics) but with a tomb silence coming from the fans...oh god!!
Don't buy from Compaq either, it's just HP disguised as Compaq, and most of them overheat in like 2 minutes because of the bad video chipset. ALOT of the HP/Compaq have this problem. The stupid customer service said i had to update drivers, but ofcourse, that doesn't do anything at all.
I FUCKING AGREE WITH YOU! MB broked from HP shitty CQ56 3 times, always i have to wait that 2 weeks and it broked again and this fucking crap company doesnt even give money back when i tired to give this crap back and get my money back they just give 1 opinion: SEND IT TO REPAIR FOR 2 WEEKS! FCK i hate HP now! Now i have to use this fucking crap HP 6715s which has broken USB ports, DVD-drive is broken and keyboard keys are fucking crap! HP SUCKS!
yeah they suck ass. my lil bro bought a hp dv6000 or something like that and just over a year later the motherboard broke which i have now found out that this is a worldwide problem that HP will not help resolve and they are still selling the laptops.
THANKS ALOT HP my lil bro was in tears cus of your shit customer service
Lucky for me i still had the warranty from the store, because of course Hp only gives u one yr warranties! Well the store was no help either, they had to send it to hp to fix the motherboard, This was back in Jan 12,11.The store is also very disoragnized, its been 5 months now and my laptop is still broke. even after Hp " fixed" the motherboard. The laptop still wont turn on, now they found a problem with the vents and the mouse pad! I will not make a purchase from hp ever again!
i am a college student, with school loans. I needed a laptop so i went to a electronic store called FRYS with my dad who suggested id get an HP laptop with pleanty of memory and ram memory... PV DV6-900 HPCost: 1012.99 plus $300 for an extended 2 yr warranty with the store and a free upgrade of Windows 7. Six months later, my laptop starts acting funny. Not even 2 yrs after i got it and the laptop would not turn on. 1st it was the battery, then come to find out it was the motherboard.
@benjidia i will never buy hp, i told them what was wrong which was multiple things but they didnt fix the screen problem, n just like u said im talking to some curry eating faggots in india! can i speak to someone who actually speaks fluent english
@MotweraCity HP finally sent me a different one 2 months after the first one broke. My son had an HP at college that broke, so I gave mine to him. Both computers have been through a couple of charges each, but my computer is still working for him. My daughter got an Apple and has never had a problem. She likes to laughs at us.
I agree, HP will not help you out, even when your notebook has had a recall on it (mine was dv2120us) and they say that they wanted to charge me like 200 dollars just to repair it and said that the recall was "too long ago". They DO NOT tell you about ANY recalls, they just want your money. I really hope they go out of business, no more HP products for me. Bought me a vaio for even less than the HP. Never buy from HP.
ahhh the nvidia problem from 2007-2009 where al laptop with nvidia video card or raidon died just after warranty. Hp knows and they dun care or recall.
There is actually a lawsuit going on against nVidia because of defected Dell, HP, and Apple laptops. I'm a victim of a crappy dv6000 laptop, and it broke after the 1 year warranty expired! It lasted approximately 1 year and 1 month. It was the worst computer my family ever purchased! The next laptop my family bought is a Dell from 2009 and it's still going strong! Won't ever recommend HP computers again!!! I've heard they are designed to overheat!
My family bought three Entertainment HP's all around the same time. My one is a dv7 Entertainment and it got dust behind the screen by about 1 year in, it overheats incredibly fast, and the power jack broke and completely destroyed the motherboard. This happened on all the three laptops!
i have just called dell today and i have to say.... its better because no indians talking on phones and easy robot machines to get in contact with dell
Fuck HP CEO! Fuck HP, Now Check This Out, I can remember 9 years ago I called hp for one of the first Pavillion Desktop computers, And I Spoke to An American, He was Certified Computer Tech and Could explain over the phone how to rewire the entire computer Blind folded, Now I get Tech Support In Mexico! All The Parts are made Cheapest In China, and they break Easiest Too! They Send All The Jobs from USA to China, And I Doubt its a problem with Selling computers Cheap, Its Them Not Giving A Fuck!
I'm getting annoyed, when im not using my computer for 15 minutes or longer the computer monitor goes to sleep i know you have to move your mouse to return to what your doing but then 15 minutes later my monitor was at sleep i moved the mouse but it still showed the black screen I had to restart everything and I did not close everything which wasted my time starting up my computer and restoring everything
Read some of the other comments. There are a few like yours, but the majority are people like me that had to fight endlessly with HP to get some help. Considering the number of hits this video has received, a whole bunch of people can commiserate! On the bright side, the replacement computer I finally got after 2 months from HP is still working. Since I'm self employed I know the customer is the only asset companies have. I'd never treat one of mine like these clowns treated me.
Well even if it didnt break from the ethernet the video chip would go out ... There bieng sued from alot of people . i have 2 friends were the laptop lasted about 2 years then the gpu would go out . HP CARES FOR UR MONEY ONLY
Dear Mark Hurd, now that you've resigned from HP as CEO, I can't mail this to your office, however, I do want you to know how I and many other customers of HP feel about your customer service, product support, and well.... ... your products. Thank you for giving me the inspiration to finally get my money's worth from your products..
after two laptops and two deskop w printer and accesories... i have given up hp due their HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE... only two times i needed help and they asked me for money even tough i had warranty, they took a month an a half to replace my desktop and 14 hrs on the phone talking to kumar to get it done... since i have bought a toshiba, my ac adapter stoped working the sam day i called them, filled the claim, the same night they air shiped it ang got it next mornig, LOVE TOSHIBA! FORGET HP.
My HP printer tried to update trough internet. No wait let me tell something else first. Why the FUCK do I need over 500 mb of software to run a goddamn printer/scanner driver. DUDE HP is just a retardeded company. Secondly all that software is messing with my rig in ways I did not know where softwareicly possible. But ok the update. HP, dear dear HP. If you actually change the update site for your software, you might just might wanna link that in the original software 2. HOW STUPID ARE YOU!
Hp is fucking terrible first myHP just starts not working, then the sound stops working and now the internet completely stopped working (on different computer now) I have called customer support and they are useless as shit so I wouldnt buy an HP
I will never buy another HP product as long as I live. I can't handle the frustration that comes with dealing with their support. Absolutely terrible!
I agree! I upgraded my HP laptop to Windows 7. And I cannot boot up. I sent it to HP, They say I will get it back on the same day. Then they say the next day. Then one week later, I finally got it back. And YOU KNOW WHAT THEY SAY? they said its my fault that I installed windows 7 wrong! F*** HP
Actually, I'm not getting many at all. It's quite disturbing to have created a site, and videos to give HP a "what's for", and then have none of the vicitms climb aboard. It looks like I'll have to abandone the project, and close the site. Again, HP will win.
Why aren't you joining up with the HP Crap Car Event. Complaining doesn't do any good to these people at HP; we're all getting screwed by these third-world geeks who are hired to do nothing less than lie through thier teeth. Watch HP CRAP CAR by rabbitflicks.
I have a degree in computer science, I have been working in the IT field for over 10 years. I WILL NOT EVER buy nor recommend any HP products. Even simple things like printer and scanner installs are not smooth. They are by far the worst technology company there is.
I hate HP products for a number of reasons, so no argument there. But the fact that an OS restore caused you to "lose all of your work" is indicative of your limited experience.
I never did an OS restore and I never lost all my work. I had a hardware problem, not software. The whole point is I spent $800, it broke in 20 days, was sent for repair 3 times, and then was finally replaced with another computer after 2 months!
I made this video over a year ago - sorry. By losing all my work I meant everything had to be re-installed, didn't actually lose anything. I'm self employed and it takes a long time to setup all my customers and their programs plus all the misc stuff and tools I have installed. I guess I blocked bad memories!
I had a decent experience with HP in and about 2003 but since its gone downhill.....my recent HP with Vista crashed having me discovering their Tattoo issue for myself. I didn't even bother trying to contact support just loaded XP from another machine...............I'll give HP credit, though, their mess up forced me to come to my senses and am 'making lemonade out of lemons' and building my own system for the first time
@motherbord09 Hp does suck, I got an hp pavillion in 2008/9 and the second time turning it on, I got the bsod, that thing gave me somany fucking problems, it was supposed to be a gaming computer, it wasn't too good at that, I got an alienware M15x now, and It's alot better than a hp computer, it hasn't given me a problem yet.
i had a dell computer, it crashed, and i was never able to open almost anything up. the only thing i was able to open up was itunes via task manager though. i then bought my hp desktop back in 2007. i am using it at this moment, i bought an hp laptop in 2008, it works fine after more than 8 falls. my cousin has a toshiba laptop, crashes every five minutes, sometimes it doesnt start up, and it is slow!!my sister has a vaio, slow as hell as well, cant change the volume, sd card slot doesnt work
My whole family has hp laptops. Thats 5 of us that havent had any problems with them. All of us have different models to. Our oldest one is 2 years old and the only problem Ive had with it is that it is getting slow. So you got the faulty one out of a bunch. you could have spent $20 and fixed it in a day. I bought a new car and it ended up being a lemon car. try doing that. you only had to worry about an $800 thing. Mine was $32,000. stop complaing. people have it alot worse.
My whole family has hp notebooks and we usually get a new one every 6 monthes since there is 5 of us. None of out laptops are the same so its not that. They all work perfectly. The only problem I'm having with one is that its getting slow, but its two years old, so ill retire it soon. And yes every now and then there is a faulty computer, you just got the bad end of it. You could have fixed the problem with about $20 in a day.
heres the thing, EVERY computer that is made by a company is made in china some of them have issuses i got a acer first day didnt work had to wait 2 months but i still lover acer, so what he is saying if you dont want to wait 2 months you can spend 20 bucks at a local computer repair store and get it sloved no time, next it sounds like you hate vista more then HP cool off bro windows 7 is cheap buy it!
I have no problem with Vista. If you're so smart you would know that your computer is slow because your registry needs cleaned. Go invest your $20 in a program to clean it. There is a really good free one available, but since you like spending money, I'm not telling you were to get it.
Like i said, every now and then there is a faulty one. So suck it up. If you just dropped 800 you can drop another 20. I had a brand new car that went faulty. in the long run i lost alot more than 20. I would have rather spent 20 than wait 2 months. you must have been spoiled your whole life to talk like you deserve the world.
--->>> the 4th laptop got broken after a year, something with the battery so i changed it and it was ok again. 5th was problematic, it got broken every 2 months and it finally broke down totaly after 1 year.
what i am trying to say is, is impossible to say all HP laptops r bad, u might just have been unlucky to get a faulty one. doesnt excuse the customer service though :P
I won't say anything about HP, cause i have only little experience with it. but let me tell u about Acer (and this can be applied to ALL brands of laptops/desktops)
all my family uses/used Acer. so we had like 5 laptops in period of 8 years. 3 of them worked well, 1 worked exceptionally good, cause even after 6 years and numerous acccidents (i am very clumsy so it ended up falling to the floor, being kicked at etcetc) it works fine. --->>>
oh yeah hp's webcams suck like shit! aeus on the other hand has an awsome webcam wiht no lag and it actually performs better! and asus is knows as the CHEAP COMPUTER COMPANY!
don't buy hp. their laptops and printers stink. more than 80% breaks just over a year. their slim line desktop...same thing. some of their standard desktops are more reliable, but you can build one yourself better and cheaper. get an asus board. hp boards sucks comes to upgrade.
The laptop are the ones nobody should ever buy! I've had good luck with desk tops too. That's why I bought their notebook. I'll never buy another one!
hp computers and laptops are fucking amazing :| wtf...
ive had 3 hps in my lifetime and ive never had a major problem causing me to lose data, crash, or order parts.
my recent problem was a graphics card error message, i called the hp support people, an INDIAN GUY, like myself :P , picked up and solved my problem. in less than 30 mins
You must have a desktop - It's the notebooks that give the most trouble. I sure wish people could comment without the cuss words! Isn't just plain English good enough?
Yes I am talkng specifically about desktops. But in your video u emphasized laptops AND desktops. I personally haven't had any problems using an hp laptop, performance wise they're good. I think u just had one horrible day:p I won't deny that hp laptops do give quite a bit of problem, however. :)
@benjidia I tried to not use cuss words against hp, but I spent $200 on an all in one printer, the printer stopped working HP told me to buy another one. $2000.00 on an hp laptop, and the 9cell battery last 1hr20mins on low/saver setting and its just a piece of !@(&$ CUZ IT (&@^#(&$ !(&#$# AND I !@(#)&#$# HATE THIS @)(#&*($# PIECE OF @)#$*#$) )#$*#)$*#)$
HP DOESN"T GIVE A !@)(*#$ ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS SO @#)(#*%$ HP
I WILL BOYCOTT THEIR #)$(*#)$(*# PRODUCT FOR AS LONG AS I LIVE
I tried using YouTube's capture from webcam feature but as usual it also sucks so I made two failed attempts to make a video response to this video blog. Oh well I'll use something different.
My room mate and I bought an HP because it was cheaper but we've regretted it. I remember I've owned 3 other HPs that I got back in college simply because they were cheaper at WalMart. Big mistake. I should have just splurged and got a more higher priced computer. But even if you buy higher price with HP it still sucks.
I bet your ethernet connection isnt even broken. I was most likely your modem.
If you knew anything about computers you wouldnt have done a computer restore, hence the word, RESTORE. Reinstall your ethernet drivers, or try an older driver. Thats all your problem is.
I've owned a ton of HP products and most of them broke within a months use. I've gone through at least 6 HP laptops and all of them had defects. They build horrible products and have terrible customer service. I moved on to Dell and have had little problems since.
After my SECOND replacement laptop broke, I sent it in and was without my laptop for 3 months because of an overheating issue. They sent it back 3 times broken, and when I finally got through to a case manager (in america) which took well over 8 hours to do, they told me they would exchange the laptop. I had to call him every day (even though he promise he'd call me ever day) to check on the status. When I finally got the replacement, I sold it on craigslist and bought a mac. HP = USELESS
Hey - you were lucky! I always got the box quickly, they just failed to fix what was broken. 2 months to get a replacement for a 20 day old computer. Wish I had been that lucky.
um, alright, but I sent in my HP Pavillion dv9000 laptop because the wi-fi didn't work, they sent me a boz within 2 days, i sent them the laptop and it came back in under a week. its fixed, and it is working perfectly.
Just found out that HP no longer supplies a battery pack for the dv5178 laptop. This laptop is only three years old. The original battery went out within a year. Now I find out that I can't get another battery for this piece of junk. I will never do business with HP again.
hp really sucks.. i know many people who have a hp and ALL of them give bad feedback. i would always recomend a ACER laptop (oh yeah and dell laptops are bad too, but their PCs are the best)
it has some probs that im gonna fix myself cuz i cant realy trust people anymore... my wireless capability button touch one for some reasone stops working and makes me restore my pc 2 days back witch gets anoying after 11 times
Goof for you. Fortunately for you you are one of the lucky ones. I'll hear back from you in 1,5 year when your will contact their support service. lol.
haha this is the truth....some people get lucky with their HP computers but generally people have to get new products or new computers because HP is full of shit
YOu must be really rough with your computer that it broke in the first 20 days, i havent had a single problem with mine and it runs great. If it took 3 days to get it set up just ask the people at the store to set it up for you! GUess how long it takes? A whopping 7 hours!! You just got some really bad luck
I'm self employed as a programmer. It took 3 days to set up because I had to transfer all my business files and programs. They couldn't have done it for me. The computer is a notebook that ONLY sat on my desk - didn't travel at all in those 20 days. My bad luck was buying an HP. I'm getting ready to buy my daughter a computer and it WON'T be an HP.
when i go on google i type in HP sucks and people do think it sucks in the results, but i also type in toshiba sucks, samsung sucks, dell sucks, ibm sucks, sony sucks, even APPLE sucks and so on,all of the companies i typed in has people who think they suck in the results,so in conclusion all companies suck in some way,or the consumer isn't using the company's products properly.
I'm sure you are right - but if any of these companies cared about service there wouldn't be complaints. Almost all complaints are for products still under warranty. How a company takes care of it's customers tells a lot about their product and their business model. I will have all future computers built locally instead of going with any big name company.
i agree with likeastonesolo just buy a mac. doesnt have to be new, buy a refurb product from apple's refurb. section on the website. After i got rid of my HP Pavilion CrapBook Pro, i got an Apple MacBook Pro, and it is great. the whole damn thing was like 1600 on apple refurb. it has a 320GB HDD 4GB DDR3 SDRAM nVidia GeForce 9400M nvIdia GeForce 9600M GT Sturdy Aluminum Unibody Shell
I also agree, i bought an HP laptop from Costco, a month later, it broke. None of the USBs were working so i just took the notebook back to costco, got a new one. Then the new notebook broke within a few months, and i sent it in for repairs, they absolutely refuse to ship it to the right house. i live in Apt. 58, they keep sending it to Apt. 5. Even though i keep complaining, they do nothing.
I completely agree, I bought an HP laptop and in the first 20 days of ownership this is what happened. The left hindge broke, the screen bezel comes off, the left speaker cuts out, I faced blue screens and had to reinstall windows, I get error messages about a USB device not found, windows tells me that I should replace my battery and the TV tuner doesnt work
Vista cannot run on HP's crappy BIOS... I worked 5 years as on-site IT Support...
Vista's advanced power management drops the voltage too low on the IC Chips..
Once the C1E of the CPU kicks in on HP, Vista starting reducing voltage across the board, then it freezes, or if drops voltage too low on your HD, you will get a BSOD..
It's THE worst machines I ever to had to troubleshoot... Cheap peripherals and cheap chipset... cheap components overall...
yup yup my was $1030 and i sent it out for 3 weeks 4 times they said nothing is rong with it ooo but gess what! this fucken bull shit co. and this freeken gay ass computer dont work! i am about to smash this damn thing !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
nice until may 2008 the infamous laptop hinge problem happened but I was under warrenty and just got done with the spring semester repairs took about 2 weeks
then in December 2008 I got a great Christmas present from HP in the form of the defective Nvidia chip problem this time I have no warranty and I'm still waiting for a free repair or total recall because I refuse to pay $400 for a new motherboard
I had a problem with my HP, the fans was to loud and the computer would shut down. One email to them and the response came the same day, I got a link for a software update and tips on how to clean my system. I could not be happier with the HP support. This is a matter of personal experience, don't say that it sucks because your experience wast good, this is one case of crap. I'm one case of good :D
PS, you are one unlucky lady, what computer did you get?
You were just lucky. I couldn't get on the internet because that's what was broke. I had a notebook, not sure what model because they replaced it with a different model 2 months later.
I'm happy now that I have a computer that works. It just shouldn't have taken 2 months to get one that does when the original computer was only 20 days old when it broke! This site is staying up until HP learns a lesson about how customers should be treated.
Yeah I agree, some people got nerves to let these things happen. You really have to look at the companies delivering your computer before you check out the components or the price. But the treatment you got was just ridiculous. That's why I thing you have been unlucky.
Here's the deal: I've owed many HP products in the past and always gotten good service and long life from them.. That's why I bought an HP notebook. Something has happened to HP, possibly when the CEO was fired (Carly F) some years back. The company isn't even close to what it used to be!
NOT ONLY DO YOUR COMPUTERS SUCK HARD NOW, YOUR SOFTWARE AND PRINTERS SUCK TOO!!!
I spent around $1500 on my computer/wireless printer around 11 months ago. The computer worked like crap after a month. The wireless stopped working and I had to reinstall everything.
got an hp notebook last month at bestbuy and the disc drive is broken ,poping open on its own , piece of shit fulty disc drives ,im sticking to DELL computers in the future.
HP is a truly unethical corporation. I had a notebook that they finally replaced under warranty and the replacement had problems too. After sending the replacement in three times, I could never get them to fix it right or replace it as well. Three months after the warranty expired, it now doesn't work at all. The '08 Consumer Reports has HP as last regarding needed repairs. Unfortunately, their repairs seem to be more of a legal formality and I know many just give up trying.
DON'T BUY HP!!!

HP sucks! My dad bought a HP Media Center PC in 2006, and it broke less than a year later, and he had to use an old Compaq from 2003. I had a Compaq (after HP bought them) and it sucked! Get a Lenovo, they are built to last, and they have great customer support.

@K83b2 Hope you continue to have success with it! The replacement I finally got is still working!

@benjidia You mean yours still working after 3 years? That's awesome! Or did you mean you got yet another replacement? My guess at that point you've switched to either a Mac or some other PC manufacture like Dell after your done with your current HP laptop?
K83b2 1 month ago
@K83b2 After 3 failed attempts at fixing the one that broke, they sent me a different one. This was after HP told me they didn't have any to send me in the US. If I wanted a different one they would have to get it from China. About 2 months without a computer later, I finally connected with a REAL person at HP who had one in her office that she sent. I spent about $1500 for a top of the line HP laptop and of course after the manufactor warrenty expired it broke. I had a friend who is a computer tech look at it and he said it wasn't worth fixing so I bought an Apple macbook pro and love it.... I will never go back to using a pc again.

PV DV6-900 HPCost: 1012.99 plus $300 for an extended 2 yr warranty with the store and a free upgrade of Windows 7. Six months later, my laptop starts acting funny.

I hate HP products for a number of reasons, so no argument there. But the fact that an OS restore caused you to "lose all of your work" is indicative of your limited experience.
KGB240 1 year ago
I never did an OS restore and I never lost all my work. I had a hardware problem, not software. The whole point is I spent $800, it broke in 20 days, was sent for repair 3 times, and then was finally replaced with another computer after 2 months!
benjidia 1 year ago
Then I am confused by the statement "HP had me restore all the original settings in hopes of fixing the problem. It didn't - just lost all my work."
KGB240 1 year ago
I made this video over a year ago - sorry. By losing all my work I meant everything had to be re-installed, didn't actually lose anything.

The only problem I'm having with one is that its getting slow, but its two years old, so ill retire it soon. And yes every now and then there is a faulty computer, you just got the bad end of it. You could have fixed the problem with about $20 in a day.
will21myers 2 years ago
I'm confused - HP couldn't fix my computer, but I'm suppose to spend money to fix a 20 day old computer that I just spent $800 for?
benjidia 2 years ago
heres the thing, EVERY computer that is made by a company is made in china some of them have issuses i got a acer first day didnt work had to wait 2 months but i still lover acer, so what he is saying if you dont want to wait 2 months you can spend 20 bucks at a local computer repair store and get it sloved no time, next it sounds like you hate vista more then HP cool off bro windows 7 is cheap buy it!
OPSDK 2 years ago
I have no problem with Vista. If you're so smart you would know that your computer is slow because your registry needs cleaned. Go invest your $20 in a program to clean it. There is a really good free one available, but since you like spending money, I'm not telling you were to get it.
benjidia 2 years ago
Like i said, every now and then there is a faulty one. So suck it up. If you just dropped 800 you can drop another 20. I had a brand new car that went faulty. in the long run i lost alot more than 20. I would have rather spent 20 than wait 2 months. you must have been spoiled your whole life to talk like you deserve the world.

when i go on google i type in HP sucks and people do think it sucks in the results, but i also type in toshiba sucks, samsung sucks, dell sucks, ibm sucks, sony sucks, even APPLE sucks and so on,all of the companies i typed in has people who think they suck in the results,so in conclusion all companies suck in some way,or the consumer isn't using the company's products properly.

But they market it as a "high end"!

Me, I have a serious problem with HP
I bought a dv9535nr from best buy on july 2007
nice until may 2008 the infamous laptop hinge problem happened but I was under warrenty and just got done with the spring semester repairs took about 2 weeks
then in December 2008 I got a great Christmas present from HP in the form of the defective Nvidia chip problem this time I have no warranty and I'm still waiting for a free repair or total recall because I refuse to pay $400 for a new motherboard

Obviously they really don't care from all the complaints listed here!

PS, you are one unlucky lady, what computer did you get?
zooomm 2 years ago
You were just lucky. I couldn't get on the internet because that's what was broke. I had a notebook, not sure what model because they replaced it with a different model 2 months later.

yeah, I wanna know what computer HP sent you?
either I was lucky or you were unlucky.
zooomm 2 years ago
They sent a dv6920us. I think the only difference is that this one has a slightly larger screen.

I think it is possible to get 1900*1200 correct? I have the slightly worse model and I'm happy so I hope you are.

I'm happy now that I have a computer that works. It just shouldn't have taken 2 months to get one that does when the original computer was only 20 days old when it broke! This site is staying up until HP learns a lesson about how customers should be treated.
benjidia 2 years ago
Yeah I agree, some people got nerves to let these things happen. You really have to look at the companies delivering your computer before you check out the components or the price. But the treatment you got was just ridiculous. That's why I thing you have been unlucky.

Here's the deal: I've owed many HP products in the past and always gotten good service and long life from them.. That's why I bought an HP notebook. Something has happened to HP, possibly when the CEO was fired (Carly F) some years back. The company isn't even close to what it used to be!

Hmm... I am new to HP so I guess I dont know the golden days of HP.

I HATE YOU HP!!!

Best Buy isn't much better. Computers only have a 15 day money back guarantee. They already know they sell crap!
