  • not all times being strong, sometimes we are weak. so if we are strong give a time for Him..

  • How about those people who have never even heard of Christ, his forgiveness or his crucifixion. Can they also "escape hell"=

  • @StandForScience God has a way for them. I suggest you to think first about your own salvation and growth in Christ. Just PRAY for them, and then go on with your growth and salvation =]

  • @Shikamaru381

"God has a way for them", well that not what your religious doctrine says, you are pretty much avoiding the question. Why would you even preach anyone about Jesus if "God has a way" for everyone.

It seems really simple to me. In your fantasy world, those who have never even heard of your holy man, will go to hell. How nice is that. Your religion is just filled with love.

  • @StandForScience Im not avoiding the question my dear friend =]

Well I suggest you to read the whole chapter 1 of the book Romans in the Bible and your question will be answered. As I said, before you think about them, think about yourself. Repent until there is time. Don't wait 'till it's too late for you to do that.....Life is so short, death is sure, Hell is real but Jesus saves, think about it my dear friend =].

  • @Shikamaru381

I've heard this "Romans 1" argument before. That just doesn't say anything more than bible is full on controversial babble and mindless mythical preaching. Might have worked dandy to uneducated folks back then, but defines all logic for someone who is not afraid to do some critical thinking.

You still can't give me a straight answer and that says it all about your religion. You are cherry-picking all the things you like and don't want to think about those that make you uneasy.

  • @StandForScience well I don't really want to argue my dear friend. So, to end this, I must say this. A proof that God exists is this: I can say I feel his presence mysteriously, and some other people feel that to. You can't say that I'm wrong, because you don't know what is the thing that I feel. If you don't feel the same, I hope you do, friend =]

  • @Shikamaru381

I don't want to argue either. In case of dogmatic religion any kind of reasonable dialog is futile and impossible.

What I would like is a straight answer. But since your religion can't really stand criticism, I understand why you are so reluctant to give any.

  • @Shikamaru381 A proof that Great Invisible Pink Unicorn exists is this: I can say I feel his presence mysteriously, and some other people feel that to. You can't say that I'm wrong, because you don't know what is the thing that I feel. If you don't feel the same, I hope you do, friend =]

  • @StandForScience so in that case, I really cannot say that an invisible unicorn exist becase you feel it but I cant, but you cant say God doesnt esist too! friend =]

  • @StandForScience : bible say dat Jesus will only come wen the GOSPEL is preached to all the corner of the earth. Revelation 14: 6,7 ...the eternal gospel to proclaim to those who live on the earth—to every nation, tribe, language and people. 7He said in a loud voice, "Fear God and give him glory, because the hour of his judgment has come. Worship him who made the heavens, the earth, the sea and the springs of water."

  • @esthervidya

That is not an answer to my question: What happens to those people who have never heard of Jesus (or the amazing capslock gospel). If you are planning to preach it to all the people, you are already too late my friend. Most people on this planet have already passed away without ever hearing about your holy man who you claim is the only true God (I can't think of anything more arrogant, btw...)

  • @StandForScience : 1 Peter 4: 6 For this is the reason the gospel was preached even to those who are now dead, so that they might be judged according to men in regard to the body, but live according to God in regard to the spirit.

  • @esthervidya

Well there's a verse that I haven't been cited before, thank you for digging up something new :) Can't really make up what that verse means, but if someone would raise me from dead and started to preach to me, I think I would listen. I would be more convincing then thousands of nutcase preachers we have today.

Remember also the next line, the end of all things is near! But it seems the word 'near' had a different meaning 2000 years ago...

  • @StandForScience : Since we know that Jesus will come for sure may be today or tomorrow, its not important for us to know wen. Wat is important for us to know is that we have to be ready whenever he comes to receive us.

Luke 21:33 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my(HIS) words will never pass away.

Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

  • @esthervidya

That is not something you know, that is something you believe. You believe in specific set of old mythical texts without any profound reason just because you have happened to be born into a certain culture at a certain time. Funny thing about religions is that they all cannot be right, but they can be wrong.

  • @StandForScience : yes, of course this is my belief and I know its true. By the way, what proof you are looking for? Don't worry the day you will see JESUS that day you will believe that HE is the only way, the truth and the life.

Romans 14:10-12: ... For we will all stand before God's judgment seat. 11 It is written: " 'As surely as I live,' says the Lord, 'every knee will bow before me; every tongue will confess to God.' " 12 So then, each of us will give an account of himself to God.

  • @esthervidya

How do you know it is true? I'm not looking for any 'proof', I'm interested know why you believe what you believe and what is your justification for your beliefs. If you believe it because it's written in the Bible, what makes you think Bible is accurate?

We all have a standards of reason, and I can see you are a reasonable person also. And you wouldn't believe me if I said there's a magical invisible unicorn watching your every move. So why make an exception on ancient myths?

  • @StandForScience:

What makes u doubt that Bible may not be accurate? I believe b'coz I'm a living eg of how JESUS has changed my life. I have experienced HIS unconditional love. Even in times of trouble HE has been faithful to me. 1John4:19We love him, because he first loved us. Today whatever I am, wherever I am it is only n only b'coz of HIM.

  • @StandForScience

How much HE loves n knows me?

Answer: Psalm 139:13, 14: For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.

  • @esthervidya

You are still quoting from your holy book without giving any reason why you think it is true.

You think it is true because that is the foundations of your beliefs and you do not dare to think otherwise. You are afraid it would ruin your life and make it meaningless. That's why it is dangerous to build your life on ancient myths because reality might crush your fantasy worlds in any given point.

  • @StandForScience

feels like ur searching ways to run 4m truth. For u BIBLE is just an ancient myth for me its a History dats true n prophecy dat will surely come true. Every faith has a foundation n yes my foundation for faith is Bible. I'm sure if u r standing for science there is a foundation for dat too. there are so many faiths but you think about Christianity, dat itself show dat der is some thing in it dat makes you think and question.

  • @esthervidya

Yes I do question Christianity (and other religions likewise) and I encourage you to THINK and question your beliefs also and how firmly they can be justified with critical thinking and reason. For example, in every other case you'd take a story about talking animals or a man walking on water as a myth but in case of your holy book you are willing to make an exception. Take a moment to think why.

  • @StandForScience

U r right. one shud think and question. I have seen people like u who just keep reasoning and questioning and finally fall madly and crazily in love wid JESUS, but i pray this happens to u soon. I have thought and experienced and i'm trying to share my experience wid u.

  • @esthervidya

Thinking critically and reasoning will never lead you to fall in love with a character from storybooks so your argument is just absurd. I recommend that instead of praying you use your time into something useful and concentrate on the biggest and greatest thing you have, your life. Stop living in a fantasy, it will set you free from your demons, I assure you.

  • @StandForScience

Here's a simple question for you (and please, answer straightly without useless preaching): If I wrote a book about talking animals, supernatural creatures talking from burning bushes and people walking on water, would you believe that it's all true? And why?

  • @StandForScience

1st I never preached. For ur kind information my LORD JESUS CHRIST has set me free from all the bondages, i'm under HIS protection. I don't need to worry about my life HE is der to take care. Actually i'm glad that u r also questioning other religion. I also know a PUJARI a person who preaches in the temple (idol worshiper) who dared to challenge the BIBLE n finally accepted dat JESUS is LORD. Answer for your next question My CHRIST has already warned me about it

  • @esthervidya

You are also a 'idol worshipper' because your god seems to be a book.

  • @StandForScience

Mark 13:21-23 21At that time if anyone says to you, 'Look, here is the Christ[a]!' or, 'Look, there he is!' do not believe it. 22For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform signs and miracles to deceive the elect—if that were possible. 23So be on your guard; I have told you everything ahead of time.

  • @esthervidya

You keep answering by quoting from the bible but you still haven't answered WHY you think it's accurate. Your reasoning is that "I believe in the bible because the bible says I have to believe in it". That is circular reasoning.

Without the belief in ancient myths you got nothing, and I can see that it scares you.

  • @StandForScience

okay answer my question Why do u think science is accurate?. Scares me nooo......, As i told you earlier BIBLE is the foundation of my faith. My Lord has not taught me to Fear rather HE promises his protection on me. HE says Psalm 91:14 "Because he loves me," says the LORD, "I will rescue him; I will protect him......

Psalm 91:15 15 He will call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him.

  • @esthervidya

Scientific method assures that the results it produces are as accurate as possible. Science is an ongoing process which produces more and more accurate results as knowledge grows. Science does not ever claim to be "the absolute truth", like dogmatic religion. That would be dishonest.

You still don't want to answer my question? WHY is the bible the foundation of your faith?

You can save some space and your time by not flooding with those meaningless quotations.

  • @StandForScience

Then according to you all history books are nothing but fake.

  • @esthervidya

That's not what I claimed, you really could take some time to READ and THINK about what I write to you. When it comes to history books, and also other books, there's a standard of, well let's say probability. For example, when history books claim that there was an american civil war, I have no reason to deny that because a) we have physical evidence of it, b) lots of documents and most importantly c) there's no extraordinary claims made, people have always gone to war... (cont)

  • @StandForScience

In the case of bible, I have no problem believing that there was a guy named Jesus living in modern day Palestine 2000 years ago who got crucified by the romans. No extraordinary there. But if you make claims that he was a son of god who walked on water, rose people from the dead and was resurrected from death, you need to present something more then 'it says it here in the book'. Extraordinary claim require extraordinary evidence.

  • @StandForScience

oohhhhhh.......so according to you we do not have any physical evidence. u r totally wrong. we have no. of documents out which 66 i carry everyday, Enough evidences are given to prove "Extraordinary claim".

  • @esthervidya

As I said (if you would at least once care to listen), I have no problem to believe for example that a guy named Jesus lived 2000 years ago. That's trivial. But if you make claims that he was a son of a god and walked on water and all those cases of supernatural activity, I'd need A LOT more then just stories.

You can't really understand what I'm trying to say or is it that you just don't want to understand?

And btw. what is this "physical evidence" if I may ask?

  • @esthervidya

And one more thing. Validating one claim made about or from the bible does not validate every other claim made in it. It wouldn't make sense. Even if Harry Potter books talk about London (which is a real place), that does not mean Harry Potter is true.

This is simple logic, try to understand it.

  • @StandForScience

"physical evidence" u have used this word in ur previous reply so i'm sure u know the meaning.

I have understood n have already answered ur questions. According to you "extraordinary claims" are walked on water, rose people from the dead and was resurrected from death and i said enough proofs are given to prove these claims. Y dont u refer to ur own reply before replying me.

The biggest problem is u do not want to understand. even if i introduce to people who were conti...

  • @esthervidya

""physical evidence" u have used this word in ur previous reply so i'm sure u know the meaning."

I meant to ask WHAT is physical evidence you talk about. Evidence to support to extraordinary claims made by your religion.

"i said enough proofs are given to prove these claims"

Um, what? You may have SAID that there are proofs, but you haven't told me WHAT they are.

You could practice a little on your spelling. Maybe you wouldn't be misunderstood so much...

  • @StandForScience

by the way there are no spelling errors......pls see properly.

  • @StandForScience

blind but can now see not b'coz of medical help but by HIS blessing, u'll not believe, even if i introduce a person who was raised from dead not b'coz of medical help but by HIS blessing u won't believe. See this ur problem. for once y dont u just dare to read the entire BIBLE.

  • @esthervidya

You'll have to demonstrate that it was in fact "HIS blessing" that rose a person from the dead. Otherwise you arguments is useless. What if it was the magic touch of a invisible pink fairy? Or the Flying Spaghetti Monster?

My problem is that I haven't read the entire bible? Again, what's that have to do with anything? I'm simply asking YOU why YOU think bible is accurate. And you have repeatedly refused to answer. Either because you don't understand me, or you don't want to

  • @esthervidya

Could you provide me contact information to those people who have got their hearing back and have been risen from the dead. I'd be more then interested to hear their point of views and we could actually maybe study the process.

By the way, news flash for you: faith healing is con job. The reason those cheaters that call themselves messengers of god still operate is because of "useful idiots" like you who'll buy anything as long as fits their fantasies. Do not be used.

  • @StandForScience

Ecclesiastes 10:14-16 14 and the fool multiplies words. No one knows what is coming— who can tell him what will happen after him? 15 A fool's work wearies him; he does not know the way to town.

Psalm 92:5-7 5 How great are your works, O LORD, how profound your thoughts! 6 The senseless man does not know, fools do not understand,

  • @esthervidya

So you cannot give straight answer. I'm not surprised I can tell you. Because you have no rational justification for why you believe bible is true. You cannot have.

Nice, I think we are done here. I should remember that you cannot really have a serious discussion with a believer. At some point they get cornered and then shut their ears and eyes and repeat verses from their holy book.

    Pathetic, you make me sad.

  • @StandForScience

I believe in BIBLE b'coz it is d TRUTH n not a myth. In old testament it was prophesied dat a Messiah will be born n take away our sins and set us free. HE was born, HIS name is JESUS, HE lived a HOLY life, died for our sins n rose again. i'm sure u won't take dis for an answer. Its totally ur wish no one can force u to believe, but the TRUTH is not going to change you believe it or not. Now u r not surprised but for sure a day WILL come when you WILL be awestruck n bow n say

  • @esthervidya

That is a self-fulfilling prophesy where certain attributes were added to this Jesus character to make it messianic. It might convince a person who would wish that would be true, but it won't convince rational minded person.

When we die, we'll be gone. I'm sorry, but that's it. Your fairytale happyland in the skies does not exists.

  • @StandForScience

That yes JESUS CHRIST IS LORD. HE does not enter forcefully, HE is standing at the door and knocking and If you hears HIS voice do open the door. bye...

  • @esthervidya

Pink Invisible Unicorn is also behind you window, waiting for you to accept his furry blessing. All you have to do is believe it!

  • @StandForScience If you want to feel God, search him! The reason you can't feel his precense is because of this ---> he's not welcome in your heart. Can you blame us if we expiriende God but you dont? Now can you realize why cant you feel him? But, if you welcome him in your heart, make sure its because you love him, not because you want to know if he exist, God is not a fool. I assume that you remember me, friend =)

  • @Shikamaru381

All that above also is true for The Great Invisible Unicorn. Just welcome him in your heart and you'll feel him.

  • @Shikamaru381

Oh, my heart is widely open, his more then welcome!

And it doesn't really matter if it's open or not. God being an omnipotent being by definition he'd KNOW how to make believe in him, right? If he really cared if I believe in him or not, he would know precisely what to do.

But oh surprise, nothing has happened. We just have thousands of different beliefs and planet full of various kooks.
