  • This is very odd! Hard to know what to make of it! I have to say though, not one of his best imo.

  • To the Pirate King yes Stan Hugill would agree, but on the banks of Newfoundland in the cod schooners the chants were often as raw as the weather, and in the pub's on Water St. (upstairs) late at night someone would strike up a tune and it was herd in 5 different language's, or was that the "Screech" singin. Ya don't want to argue with someone that can head,gut and split a dory full of cod in 5 min.. Better to split your fish and chips with im and buy another round.

  • @Squarekn0t ...what part of NL. ya from? I'm from a family of fishermen out of Port Union & I know exactly what ya mean. Even in their 70's, they could give me a run for m' money any day of the week. A genuinely happy bunch...work hard & party seriously hard. Damned great times it was. :)
