Yes, it is time for a change. The change is up to us as individual US citizens. Obama can have the best ideas in the world, but we have to give him the political horsepower to pursue them.

It is time for us to say in no uncertain terms to our elected officials. Stop throwing out the baby with the bathwater.

We all know what NEEDS to be done. Stop sacrificing good ideas on the altar of partisanship.

A perfect example (close to my heart) is a national medical information system. When we have a patient show up in the ER, you have no idea what drugs (legal) they are taking.

We spend at least 25% of our time trying to gather that information so we don't hurt them by giving them bad drug combinations.

And a HNIS would end doctor shopping. No more going to 4 different doctors to feed addictions.

It would be safer for everyone, vastly reduce cost of health care & improve quality of care.
