@tapion123 Short Block = the portion of the engine above the oil pan and below the head gasket. The best known combination for an IS300 is a short block from a 2JZ-GTE (TT engine) and the VVTi head from a 2JZ-GE which comes stock in a USDM IS300. OR you can purchase a 2JZ-GTE with VVTi from Japan out of a 94+ Aristo for about 2 grand with an Automatic Trans.. Add another 3-4 grand for a Getrag 6 speed Trans.
I own a 2003 is300 stick shift... I'm loving every bit of the rare manual and took forever to find!!! :) I'm looking to do some power tho. What is the amount of boost I can push in a stalk 2JZge engine? or would it be better/safer to swap with supra internals first, then turbo it....
Your car is fast as hell! I'll be there someday...
Yeah, but not the naturally aspirated 2jz-ge. The NA model does not come with forged crank, forged rods, or the extra oil squirters that come with the 2jz-gte. Also, they are not as good for boosting as the 2jz-gte because they come with higher compression ratios.
another question sorry um how much power do you make at 15psi and do you have the whole 2jzgte engine or did you just get a forged crank cause ive read that thats the only difference in the ge and gte ive searched for a forged crank and they cost more than a whole twin turbo used supra engine
its cool when i run 15 psi i usually run about 610 hp at the wheels and when i run my normal at 20 psi i run about 630-640 at the wheels and yea thats the only difference
This rear drive inline 6 is a ricer? Are the BMW 3 series all ricers? This is what the car is modeled after, and you should do some research. If your critique was on a Civic that was louder than it is fast, that may indeed be a ricer. Philistine.
dude... is300 = supra in the form of a luxury sedan... similar weight whether you believe it or not...
the stock is300 has the same engine as the supra except that the internals are slightly different and has no turbo.. a lot cheaper and easier to find though.
It is amirs car. He sold the BBS wheels that were on it if I remember correctly. All this videos on my page are waaay old. I helped him sell the car to a local dealer who sold the car to someone in canada if I remember correctly.
No point? The car has over 700hp. Wider tires is recommended so the car doesnt spin and lose control and these people die. I would never go WOT in a car like this when a skinny ass tire like a 215 is being used. Hell i wouldnt even do it on a 265 tire.
i wasnt saying "no point" to running a wider tire PERIOD, i was referring to running a 225 tire on a stock IS300 rim as it is 7" wide! he OBVIOUSLY needs wider rims, and the widest he's going to be able to fit on the back is about a 265 tire with a MAJOR shave/roll in the back.
This car is slow look at Srt Is300's

Is RaceLogic an EMS for 2jz engines?
Rockit181 1 year ago
@Rockit181 No, RaceLogic is maybe the best aftermarket Traction Control. You can fit it on nearly every car.
WIGGA555 10 months ago
@WIGGA555 I see now you're running a Haltech ECU. RaceLogic could be useful on a turbo FWD car
Rockit181 10 months ago
@Rockit181 RaceLogic is a really good device. You will be a LOT faster, especially with a high HP FWD car.
The Heltech is a pice of crap, a lot of problems with this system on a 350...
WIGGA555 10 months ago
thats some horsepower and do you mean short block as in the 1jz bottom and 2jz top? cuz i know some people do that with big turbo setups

millerjamisonisa 2 years ago 2
he states in the video that he spent about $30,000 in mods. which includes 2jzgte shortblock and getrag 6 speed
krazyaznkid 2 years ago
easily 8k...probably 11-15k with everything he has done to that IS...
2JZGTE swap, runs about 3k...
do that, little boost and some tune..have a nice IS for about 4k

well, if you watch the end of the vid...he put 25k in that car

you call it "stock" not "stalk"
and the 2jz is one of the strongest motors stock you can have. its built like a champ.

I would try to keep it with in 400 hp on the stock internals. However, if it was the 2jzgte, you can comfortably push 700 hp + on stock internals.
