At Pride there were a few black bears in there - great to see and looking good. I agree the bear thing just happens to be a white thing - I have never seen an Asian bear and I lived in Indonesia for 3 years.

Sadly there is racism inherently on the gay scene (just as anywhere else) but accusing bears over others is nonsense. If you are big and bearded or just go after that type you will be accepted as much as anywhere else and definitely more so than if you are an ageing bear in a twink/gym bunny bar.

And I can find you black and asian bears and bearchasers who'll attest to that.

Why do you think that out of all of the gay sub-groups that the bear community is the least represented by non whites? I think that its you that needs some perspective.

Or it may have something to do with being a minority in a minority. Percentage representation shouldn't always be taken as an indicator of non acceptance. I'd take a bet that the percentage would be the same, in favour of the indigenous population of the countries who's ethnic groups you've mentioned. Like i say, Perspective.
