  • This is awesome.

  • John=hot hot hot

  • Look How LONG JTs bass is! Ive never seen anything like it......:P Wicked underated song....if they come to toronto...Im SO there! Until then, I watch my DVDS over and over...btw--anyone notice Nick never changes!

  • This is a really good sound. Duran duran always sounds good, but this is really nice. Like old friends, well worn jeans: classic- beautiful- awesome, and the promise of really really good ....... to come. never mind they are older than some grandparents.. so are we. When you feel love...

  • andy is an underrated guitar player..

  • The world spins so fast that I might fly off

Waiting for the sound of thunder

I'm waiting for the sound of thunder

  • cuccurulllo blows!!!!!!!!

  • Yep, I was there and it was fucking awesome! I don't even think I want to see Duran Duran again especially now that Andy is out of the group. It just ain't the real Duran without him. But I was so glad to see the fab five during their reunion tour.

  • the problem is not duran whitout andy but duran whitout warren cuccurulllo!!!

    please waco comeback!!!!

  • They were great I saw them Feb 2005 in San Diego

  • Second favorite duran duran song. Top 20 of all time. Freaking excellent lyrics. awesome melody. Great band to play it. Love the chorus transitions. The Nick Rhodes synth line is just so memorable and comforting from almost 30 years ago... And the drums with whatever effects they had, they way they echo down.. almost like kissing God.

So great, Such fun. always leaves me smiling. excellent segue on this version too. Great taste guys!

  • I agree. And that synth line owes a lot to Morricone, I think they show their greatness mixing it with I Feel Love.

  • Awesome video!!

  • is that andy or joey ramone ? lol

  • I WAS AT THIS VERY SHOW!!!! I could hardly believe they'd play "Thunder" live either...it was my top favorite song on the first album, neck and neck with "Friends of Mine" (they opened this show with that!). It made my life. Whoever filmed this, I thank you with all my heart.

  • It's so funny to watch this on You Tube because I was at this actual concert. I must say being a Duran fan for some years I was quite surprised they even did this song. But glad they did:)

  • Bonita canción. Up D+D. Bellísimos y encantadores.

  • yea sad, the new guy is pretty good. wish they would have at least offered Andy to come back for the upcoming tour

  • Play that fucking bass John, Play that fucking bass John!

  • i was at dd's 'homecomming' gig in Birmingham (UK) St Andrews when they played this for the first time since... the early 80s.. awesome - was always one of my favourite tracks

  • Awesome video! I was so shocked to see this medley live in Bmore a few summer ago. Sound of Thunder might be one of DD's most unheard and underrated songs, but it's been a fave since I was 13. SLB forever! I miss Andy.

  • Yeah, but it's a shame that Lamya isn't here anymore...she 'd have sung this version much better than their actual chorist (I don't love her a lot in fact...). Great songs and music anyway ; DD is still the best band I've ever ear and seen ; on stage they are awesome !

  • Awesome! Andy is great!!!!!!

this sounds better than the album version!

this is a real band...but what happendes with the killers? why do you say that? (I don´t like them)

  • Whoa! This is absofuckinglutly great!

  • *****

  • I would have lost my mind if I had been there to see them play this song. For me, their first album is my favorite.

  • Great!

  • This is so AMAZING!... Duran are such a ultra fantastic live band. They have it down like nobody's bussiness. Sound Of Thunder and I Feel Love together is like dying and going to heaven!

"Sound Of Thunder" being totally one of the biggest stand out trax on that legendary Duran 1st album. I love watching the brains of Nick Rhodes in that synth, he is a genius.

  • Nice guitar playing from Andy. I love Simon's voice and John looks amazing in this. Brilliant video!

  • i love this song!!!!!!!!!mix sound of thunder/i feel love

  • That was awesome!

    Andy ROCKS!!

    JB

  • Andy is a great guitarist, absolutely can rock

  • Awesome, but man, Anna Ross needs a stylist. The endless litany of black mini skirts and blouses that could stand to be a size larger is just tiresome. She still rocked that look at Live Earth and the Diana concert. She's too attractive for that!

  • nice

  • This is the Duran Duran I know! Andy sure brings a lot.
