Any idea if Powelton Rd has been repaired? haven't been down there in years. Cool road but it ends a few miles down due to a hillslide. Great trout fishing down in that area.
There isn't a spot on Powelton Road where people camp. Did you go straight all the way up to Lovelock Road? It looks more like you went left on Doe Mill Road then down to Fork of The Buttes then, when at the bottom, instead of going left to the camping spots, you went straight then down the hill. I've been up Powelton Road at least 60 times and that does not look like Powelton Road (unless you got up to Lovelock, turned left then went down the hill just before you joined Skyway past Stirling!)
This was taken on Powelton Rd approx 4 miles off the skyway. This spot is just a few hundred yds past the area at the creek where people camp. I highly recommend it if you like fishing, hiking or prospecting for gold.
I live on Doe Mill i go down there all the time. That road gets fucked up in the snow.
