I fell in love with the Osmond brothers way back in the 1970's when I was a teenager, but I also fell in love with all things relating to Deafness and remember being awed by knowing the Osmonds had Deaf brothers. I went on to become an Interpreter for the Deaf and now I am a Teacher of American Sign Language. I believe my love started with the Osmonds and I thank them for their music and their wonderful family!
thank you for posting this. donny and all the osmonds i lost my grandma last week and lost all hope i guess god lead me to this i always loved you but i do believe again thank you
Sure you'll one day see your Grandma again, there is so much more to look forward too. This is one of the reasons The Osmonds wrote their Album The Plan, to inspire hope in Heavenly Father's plan for us his children, that this time on earth is but a test, a time to prepare to return to him, to prove our love for Him. If you love the Osmonds, you'd enjoy the lyrics to the songs within The Plan. Wishing you well, John.
@ladyhawke3orland Both of my grandmothers died 15 days apart back in October, 1982. Hard to believe it's been 28 1/2 years. All of my grandparents are gone now. I do miss all of them.
Susan, this is a sad day, as this they announced during this concert would be the very last time we would see all of them ever together on stage performing. I guess for a couple of them, i.e. Alan, it's time due to health etc to retire. I think they can keep going and who knows perhaps they'll take back those words and still from time to time surprise us all and get together on stage as a complete family performing. These songs are also my favourites as they hold such deep spiritual meaning!
Absolutely STUNNING video!! Beautiful camera-work! This song has been a favorite of mine since I saw them perform it in the 70s! the Osmonds are PHENOMENAL!! (I still get tears in my eyes and 'goosebumps' when I hear them sing this!) Thank you so much for sharing this incredible moment with us! My-oh-my...I can only begin to imagine what it would have been like to be a part of the audience that day! WOW!! Best wishes, Susan
One of my most favorite Osmond songs, I remember loving "I Believe" way back when Donny sung it on one of his early 70's albums. It's even more amazing when it's combined with "Are You Up THere?". This video is my favorite version because it has ALL Osmonds singing this gorgeous song! I too love that Virl and Tom were included and signed the song, how beautiful! It always brings a tear to my eye and a tug at my heart when ANY combination of Osmonds sing this. Thanks much John for posting!
I dearly LOVE the Osmond family. This must have been an amazing show. It gives me goose bumps and brings tears to my eyes when I see them all on stage together. I wish Virl & Tom would have done more signing with them. Sign language is just mesmerizing to me. My greatest wish in life has always been to spend a day with the Osmond family. I admire them all soooooo much. I've been a fan since Donny & I were 12, lol.
I love these 2 songs, they are so heart felt,my mom died 4 years ago this saturday, and i know if she was still here she would love their version of 'I Believe', as it was one of her favourite songs. Wonderful.
I LOVE this medley, it always moves me to tears ~ the Osmonds are such a talented, special family, so awesome to see Virl & Tom up there too ~ thank you for posting and sharing! The Osmonds wrote Are You Up There, but not I Believe (just to clarify)!

I believe for every drop of rain that falls a flower grows.
I believe that, somewhere in the darkest night, a candle glows.
I believe for every one who goes astray someone will come to show the way.
Has a more beautiful song ever been written?

The History of "I Believe" can be found on Wikipedia, its a 1950's song which many artists have recorded.
This is a wonderful medley of the two songs.

I've tried several times to post a response --
The song "I Believe" was written in the late 1950s and many various artists have recorded it. I found info about it on wikipedia.
