If you are using the pc as a media center, why not just integrate hyperspin into XBMC. Then you have xbmc for all your media and hyperspin for your emulators.. Should save you the trouble of having to make all the movie art by your self :P There is a how-to on youtube
This is really cool. I'm still trying to figure out how to play movies with wmp or quicktime from HS. I'm sure there's an ahk script for one or both programs, but I'm having a hard time finding it on the forums. I want to add an Angry Video Game Nerd wheel. ;P
I've been thinking, too, of making custom themes for HS to completely alter the look. I love the vintage arcade style, but it might be a cool change to try something more sleek and futuristic.
im wondering clear me up is it just a trailer show or can u really see the movie does it work like a juke box wher u can buy to hear music in ohter words can u play the whole movie an pay to see it
Pretty awesome setup! I just set up hyperspin in my living room on the plasma w a nice new i7 media pc. I may look into what you are doing here as it looks quite nice. Probably takes a lot of work for themes, right??
Is there only me who understands that what this guy has made is a media center arcade machine that hooks up to his HD tv to play games and movies etc using a digital wireless pad like xbox 360 pad as an interface , i think that this is the best way to do it .. and i will be doing the same . well done mate xxx thanks for the vid it looks cool as hell
I do it because put simply I don't have an arcade machine. I connect my pc to my television and use a wireless gamepad to both play arcade games (and other emulated systems.. snes, nes, etc) as well as watch movies.
Cool, but why would you watch movies on your arcade machine. Me, I perfer to sit on the couch while watching a 2 hour movie. Please help me understand why you would do this?
Dude this is very ingenious... I really liked your idea to use this game front end with another pourpose to show movie trailers... This is just a mmovie player with command line support right? Cool!!!

So you had to make a seperate theme for each of your movies? That seems like a ton of work!
How hard was it to get VLC to work with HyperSpin? (I'm new to HyperSpin but I'm about to put it in my MAME box at home as the front-end)
