  • so whats it like on road?

  • just got back from D/V 2 weeks a go with my 07 klxs fun-fun!!! 350 miles!

  • is there a feul gauge on this 1? or no like the 250sf

  • 250 has plenty of beans to do most stuff

  • Nice report. Wish they'd upsize this bike to 650 capacity.

  • @LonesomeCraig why would they need to upsize this to a 650 when they have the klr 650

  • @LonesomeCraig Huh? Why in the world would they do that? It wouldn't be a 250 then. A 650 would be 100lbs heavier, Too big for any real off roading and get crappy gas mileage. Kawasaki already makes an awesome 650 (versys) that you do some very limited off road riding. As far as I know there is not a 650 dual purpose that compares to a 250cc off road. Too big and heavy.

  • 19 horse power and 300lbs., It handles well the tires are about 60/40 street/ dirt. The yamaha WR will smoke it and is fuel injected but you pay for that too.

  • i heard that this bike is very slugish. is this true?

  • good.

  • whats the top speed like i want to get this bike but i will use it for a lot of street riding and off road and need to keep up with traffic on interstate.

  • @129CV plenty fast for speed limits

  • is it geared too low for street riding?

  • i want this guys job.

it would be awesome to ride bikes for a living.

  • 1:30 to 1:40 Get your butt off the seat and stand on the pegs !

  • i now how the engine is liguid cooled but what is the liquid

  • oh my god, what's wrong with you?

of course it's coolant liquid ...

like it's in your car, if you have one ...

  • sorry to disapoint you but its NOT cum.

  • Kawasaki KLX250S

  • great you did know how to read the title

  • my dad has a 250s its a pretty good bike

  • the 09's are junk compared to the 06/07's.

  • What's the problem with the 09's? Just wondering.

  • much less suspension travel.. they swung the "dual purpose" more towards street use than the 06-07's

  • Thanks.

  • the swinging arm was off putting on this bike it looked cheap tubing?

  • I just purchased a 2009 KLX 250s and I love it. It is light, nimble and excellent for trailriding. It also will do 70mph in the street with no problem. My only small complaint is that it's a little low on low end power but its not really bad. It is the best handling dirt/trail bike I've ever owned! I really love it!

  • @ppmmcc Have you tried uncorking it?

  • Hi, can u give me more tips about that machine.

Weight, max speed, is it fast or slow, strong or weak, pls reply. i wanna buy it soon.

    reply me msg.

  • WRONG about Death Valley being the largest Nat'l Park in the US.

Wrangell-St. Elias National Park & Preserve in Alaska is the largest in the US. DV is in the lower 48.

  • which one si better this bike or a WR250R

  • i don't think that the quality of yamaha is not as good as this. so i think this one is better.

  • if i really had to guess, and im planning on buying this kawi, id get the yamaha just for the fuel injection. but thats about another $1k.

  • is it fuel injected??

  • no its not

  • What is the top speed and do you have the option of turning off the headlight?

  • who cares about the top speed. and why does it matter if you can turn off the light? thats not safe!

  • Can't shut off the headlight on any new car or motorcycle. I think the manufactures are not allowed to add an off switch.

  • u can to turn off headlights on a car i have an 08 benx and i can turn em off all of our new cars can have them turned off it is bikes that by law have to be hard wired

  • bikes dont HAVE to be hardwired in most states IIRC...the manufacturers do it willingly and it adds to the safety some.

  • does it have a clutch or just a foot shifter?

  • I looked at one the other day they are 5400 in my town. Everywhere I've read the klx smokes the Yamaha 250 and honda 230, but the MPG isn't as good as the others. I'm planning on buying shit bike and putting street wheels and tires on it and driving it to school.

  • those other bikes must get good mpg's because i read on the kawasaki website that it gets 70 mpg

  • First off, if you're looking to impress, get your facts straight.

Death Valley is not the largest national park in the U.S. There are six larger parks in Alaska.

I'll bet if you asked nicely, they would take you back at Burger King.

  • How much does one of these go for

  • I looked at one the other day they are 5400 in my town. I'm planning on buying this bike and putting street wheels and tires on it supermotard style (I have a dirtbike already)and using it to save on gas this bike gets over 60 mpg but the yamaha and honda in this class get over 70. I'm going with the KLX because its the only bike in this class that can handle highway speeds, granted at this weight its pretty dangerous riding a bike this lite on the highway so if your new to riding don't try it.

  • I'm looking at the same bike and I'd offer that despite the dirt "look" to these tires, the Dunlops appear to me to be something that one could wear down with confidence.

I don't know if you have any access to off-road terrain, but these tires look pretty street-smart to me, along with some dirt capabilities.

    Which color do you like?

    Brandt from Kentucky

  • i have one its AMAZING and around 100m to the gallon

  • I heard someone say the model before this, got like 70-80 mpg, but as far as I can tell, this one only gets about 46 mpg, Anyone know of a dirt bike that gets better than 46 mpg? Or ATV ? Looking for bike with real good mpg, seen some scooters that get about 70-80 mpg, some 100, thanks

  • Hey bud according to the EPA this bike gets 70 mpg.

If you want to get a kawasaki you can go to their web site and there's a page that shows you their most fuel efficient bikes.

  • well my xt250 gets 78mpg and that's not riding economically. though it is 26 years old. :P. most 250s are very good on fuel, though you must sacrifice power for fuel economy

  • scooters are for pussys buy a real bike.

  • picked one of these up a week ago.

it handles the tarmac much better than anything else similar that I've had on the road

the front end is soft, but only the first 2 inches. It firms up after that (I'm 165lbs)

  • cant wait to see if any of the brands make a 150 i luv kawasaki and yamaha but the kx85 is shitty so i ride yz85

  • how does it do on rough mountain trails?

  • nice bike. great choice if ur looking for a light dual sport to flog around the dirt.Excellent than the KLR650 in the dirt, Not to shabby on the tarmac i assume if you plan on doing touring on this bike an aftermarket gas tank shoud do the trick.

  • if your so obsessed with talking like that go do it on your porn site! gosh no one care that you think like a perv!

  • I like it, but I want to see how it handles on tarmac when it hits the road. Also does the display show which gear your in?

  • Very informative review. Excellent video!

  • aweseome video! less crappy music and more informative stuffs

  • Excellent little machine, great review.

  • thanks for the up load!

  • His voice is weird

  • i agree. he sounds like a microsoft sam relative. very monotone or changes tone at the wrong times. (LIKE MICROSOFT SAM :D)

  • loved all the cool video angles ya shot. looks like a nice little beginners bike too.

  • sounds like crap though

  • yeah it does

  • yeah, i wouldn't go far no that junk :D

my fat ass would break it!
