I wish we were the "good guys". The freedom we are fighting for is the freedom of multinational corporations to profit from and control governments, landbases, and the people. Many people defend fascism assuming they will be under some umbrella, yet we the people are all in the same boat. Get our boys and girls back home so they don't have to die for someone elses country. i agree that war is horrible but life has dignity - slaughter of innocents is not dignity. the former presidents words should not have been taken out of context to make a point. any reasonable person wants our soldiers home - lets refer back to freedom is not free. do we want 9/11 to become common on our homeland. the song is right - there is a better life - let's work towards it without sticking our heads in the ground and ignoring the horrors around us, that's apathy and it is danagerous.

That's the entire point. The USS is refuelling in what they consider their sacred land. If the USS Cole was in park outside New York they wouldn't care at all. Same reason why they kill the more than 200 marines with that truck-bomb. And somebody knew it was not a good idea and it happened of course. If the US stops supporting all those rich kings and princes with their multimillion dollar houses and silver cars maybe they wouldn't hate the US so much.
