What do the stock bpm instruments sound like, and is it worth it if you already own maschine

@MrBettabeats they cool, got some good drums but not a lot of variety. What's there sounds good. If it's worth it or not is really a personal choice, if you want it just for the drum sounds just get Hip Hop planet and use the free uvi workstaiton.

Yoo do these sample sets from UVI come in .wav or mp3 format or are they in some proprietary format for UVI compatible programs like BPM and the UVI player? I realize the UVI player is free, but if I wanted to load these into an MPC and play from there (sans computer) that would be dope, because the sounds are crackin!

@jonQuest82 proprietary format, they come in uvi soundbank files, so you'd need uvi, bpm, motu, etc to open them. Once you have them in uvi you can drag audio loops and such out, but that's tedious for all these sounds lol, but it's an option.

@JOE...i dont know if you agree but to my ear this thing has some of the best sounding samples ive heard and everything is drag and drop and you can use any wav. aiff. etc... and it has its own instrument preset library and you can load more libraries from uvi/ man this is a dream

@Emagick77 dunno, it's all opinion, I prefer Maschine's workflow, so I use all the BPM/UVI libraries in Maschine now :)

Thanks Ima try that never seen the favorites folder... I mean I'm only keepin this around I just hope they can really keep up with maschine I don't see it now but I see they tryna make some kinda effort :) anthoner question I have the MPD 32 that I use with this they have a preset for it does maschine have that also??? I mean my bad I know I could figure all this out in time but I don't have much of that lately thanks again

@Mrjblanco1 yeah, just go to the folder tab, browse to one of your folders, right click on it and add it to favorites, not the same as integrating in library, but it works. I don't really look at BPM the same as Maschine, for me BPM is more of a workstation type of joint. Anyway, there is no mpd template for maschine that I know of, I have the maschine controller running bpm at the moment too.

Why is it that they charge for the 1.5 update I have this and the Maschine they didn't charge for their update just sayin lol... cool kit but I was wondering can I preload my fatloud samples on menu as sopposed to dumping them in on a pad or rack I constantly have to go back and forth not cool you feel me??? as supposed to Maschine where there as you can dump them in the library I don't get it... if there's a way you know please help :) n if not I suggest MOTU step their game up!!!

@Mrjblanco1 dunno why they charged, you better believe all of Maschine's updates won't be free either, at some point they will charge for an update as well. As far as libraries, you can add folders to your favorites, etc, but there's no way to import your stuff into the library like in maschine. In my opinion, it wouldn't be worth it, as the layout is totally different, it would make no sense lol...they don't have the tags and filters in the library like maschine.

@pppeeeppee nah, when I do screenshot videos I usually don't do it, may have to start lol, but it's quicker to just get right in as the video software for these isn't as flexible as the one for my regular vids lol.

Some of them loop patterns sound more like beats on the the radio than the ones that came on BPM! nice. they making production too easy lol

@BrandonCarterTV yeah, it's definitely a step up from the factory sounds, did you see they just released an update for bpm? 1.5? It comes with the beat factory library plus some other updates, I gotta get my hands on it lol.

I heard this software doesnt really do much for PC. Have the converted to both mac/pc

@cadillacjones25 not sure what you mean? "do much for pc" ? I'm using it on windows, works fine, nothing special between the mac and pc version, it works on both and always has.

@cadillacjones25 I had problems with this on my 2 gig RAM laptop

running on vista. Kept crashing. Works fine on the Mac standalone.

Have midi sync problems when used as a AU plugin in logic though.

@cadillacjones25 ok so they do have it for PC. I was lost I had some one tell me that it was just for MAC USER ONLY.
