  • Super Sophie.....

    Big fan

    Abel

  • nearly all panasonic camcorders have flash and a light. thats cool ;D

    And nice review

  • cool

  • Can you adjust the Frames per second?

and can you put other leses on it?

    Thanks.!

  • @DionNL95 Frames per Second on the TM300 are adjusted based on the recording format that you shoot in. For example in 1080i this camcorder shoots at 24fps.

Also other lenses can be used with this camcorder although an adapter may be necessary for some.

  • Is that a 37mm lens?

  • Cheesy quotes

  • how does this video cam compare with the video function of the 550D?

  • Thanks!

  • Thats what i use to record videos. the video quailty is not all that. if you dont believe just watch a video of mine.

  • Does anybody know what the audio is like?

  • i bought the tm 10

  • Thanks for the review; but I'm afraid there is an error in it. You say that this is a 3 CCD camcorder; when, in fact, it is a 3 CMOS or "3MOS" camcorder. There IS a difference, you know.

  • agreed

  • I want this!!!

but i will need to save a lot of mony for this!

  • @Veurne909

You can get it for $1,099 on Amazon or you can get it for $650-750 on ebay.

  • i have had this camera for a long time now. and i still cant figure out how to smoothen the slow motion so it isnt so choppy. send me a message and help me!

    thanks guys!

  • Impresionante presentaciòn de la càmara

    de video Panasonic, excelente vistas.

  • I have this camera and I think that the review is spot-on precise overall. The cold shoe on the camera was not properly explained, what was shown was the base where the cold shoe attachment is connected to the camera. The cold shoe itself is positioned in the usual manner so that any peripheral attached to the cold shoe will have its main axis of action lined up with that of the camera. Too bad they didn't take the extra 5 seconds to show the cold shoe mounted on the camera.

  • not exactly 3x CCD its 3x CMOS, slightly different

  • Although its basic pictures are great it still creates thick purple lines from any sharp light sources in the picture which can be noticed in several cheaper panasonic hd cameras.

  • She sounded enthusiastic, not as if she been given a script.

  • I am confused, is this a camcorder or a camcorda?

  • @StevieArt Look heah, cobba! Its culla is bettah! So grab some vegamite and ride off on ya roo!

Ya gotta admit: She's cute, as is the accent.

  • @KutWrite lol she's british mate not australian

  • Impressive camera. I'm wondering if I'm gonna spend $1,700.00, should I just get the Canon 7D? Must admit, the quality is quite impressive and I really like AVCHD!

  • @TheWarRoomInc you can find it on ebay as low as $755.00 from japan.

  • 1080p! Oh my God! I want it already!

  • its $1699.99 but its worth it:D i got one

  • I am saving money already, but I'm lucky cause here in Europe I can get one only for about 700 :D

  • Really great review. I think you got the most in this video :) 5*

  • Is it better then the canon HV30/HV40??

  • Your Hot

  • ...you can see Tyler Durden at 2:34!

  • Does SimplyElectronics sell the PAL or the NTSC version of this camera ?

  • Hi ForeverMods!

I checked with the sales team and its the PAL version that is being sold - hope that helps!

    Sophie

  • whats better this or the canon hf s10

  • hf s10 is just a wee bit better. The touch screen on this one is just too gimmicky but it does have an eye level view finder which I really miss on my hf s10. I think that the canon has more features also

  • so for image q go s10??? the tm300 has native 24p right?

  • right, type in s10 and compare some of the sample vids to see for yourself. Has pretty perfect low light but the tm300 does a great job also, Just not a fan of that touch screen. gets too unresponsive the more you use it. it is native 24p

  • ah its so tough becuase im probaly going to use 24p mode 80% of the time, does native 24p look better? or make a big diff?

  • TM300 records native 60i but the video is converted in-camcorder to 24p.

Only Sanyo provides native progressive record, but the quality is no match for the panasonic.

However canon has the 24p and 30p mode but they are converted in-camcorder as well.

  • oh so also the tm300 is 24p in 60i mode?

is thier a big diffrence between native 24p and converted 24p ( from 60i)

  • I don't think it's that much.

  • I have the HDC-TM300 and it's REALY nice!!

I filmed a part in my garden on a SDHC-card en after that I put the card in my full HD televison (that is able to read SDHC-cards) and the quality was amazing!!

  • okey, which one should i buy for short movies. the Panasonic HDC-TM300 or Canon vixia hv40?

  • Same situation here...idk which one will be better..the hdc says its good but i havent seen any footage that is convincing enough...the hv30 and 40 on the other hand has lots of test footage and looks amazing

  • Ease of use, the panasonic, for pure quality, Canon!

  • go with the canon, the quality is unbeatable, but this is a great cam

  • girl, u need to do more vids cuse ur good and nice

  • if i buy the camrea, do i get the girl to?

  • if u had half a brain, u wuld now that they dont sell humans here eh. what year are you in boy cuse it sounds like ur in 1800s

    think smart one

  • Thanks. I'm really leaning towards buying this soon, I just wish there would be a price drop to make it hit $999. Why does the title say DMC? Isn't HDC?

  • Definitely considering this camera. Nice review. And it doesn't hurt to have an exceptionally cute girl with an accent either.

  • Thanks for the review.

  • You may be right! We'll definately see if we can tweak that a bit in the next one :)

  • this is cool, but the studio lighting on the left looks a bit too bright? :)
