You can get Mew without using a cheat book. I actually accidentally found out how to find ANY pokemon in the game without using gameshark!! You can find pokemon that aren't actually in the version! All u have to do is walk so that you are just in the Gambler's sight (as seen as in the beginning of this video), and fly to Cerulean City!
