  • So intense.... so deep.... and so beautiful

  • wonderful song from one of the top bands of the last decades...

  • They didn't use this song on any album but only as a b-side on trash single...

  • τα σπαει το γ@μημενο...

  • what a dark & depressing melody....I love it

  • So beautiful,bring back memories!

    Sleepingpills is their best tough.

  • love this...Mat Osman wrote it too :)

  • their best song is a b side!lol!!!!!!!!

  • Amazing song amazing band amazing Brett Anderson One

  • i am melting. this song touches me so so much....

  • Same here. Music is how it should be, but video is twice the speed (which is also why the vid is only 2.53 long, whilst it's normally a 5+ min song). Don't know why people are giving your comment a thumbs down. Not your fault that the vid is too fast.

  • BEST OF SUEDE

  • One of the best Suede songs....So beautiful, dark and haunting.

  • @karziflora Sadie is another good, dark song.

  • THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVOURITE SUEDE SONGS. Thanx for sharing this...xxx

  • Probably because the cover of the album this is from (Sci-fi Lullabies, the b-side album) has a picture of an old disused plane in a field on it! The power of the subconscious!

  • would you mind recommending some music for outwardly-focused drag queens, blind careerists, young eligible ladies and people who regularly use kleenex? thanks!

  • at least, and by fortune, is not music for you, slacker.

  • And fortunately, IS NOT music for you, stupid slacker

  • nice pero muy blando

  • Absolutly amazing song

  • God I miss those times.

  • some songs make you travel mentally so easily.....incredible song...

  • Great song!

  • Brilliant song & a perfect video to go with it! x

  • Absolutly brilliant.

    Anderson at his peak

  • this song and atmosphere of joy division are the saddest song made in the music^s world

  • Terrific song.

  • Luv this song!

  • good, but I don't understand why they recorded so sad melody for this song ;>

  • SciFi Lullabies is one of the best B-side collecton compilations of any band ever, Suede didnt write B-sides as such, they simply wrote songs, something unique in the lousy music climate weve been enduring lately, ty for upload =)

  • SAD.like it.

  • I have this on Sci Fi Lullabies - a gem of a double cd album full of unusual b-sides and rarities. Check it out fellow Suedeites!!!!

  • FANTASTIK VIDEO...WOW

  • one of the saddest songs ever...

maybe Morphine "The saddest song" comes close... ;-)

  • Thank you for posting this! I detected a band new to me!

  • I have this song on the Trash CD single. It's an excellent song that's as good as anything on the excellent Coming UP album.

  • Suede please reunite please .

  • this is such a great song. moody and understated..it grows on you. the culmination of guitars and keyboards is at the end is so good.

  • and DONT FORGET THE BASS LINE!!! (state of the art)

  • Many years ago, in what seems like another lifetime I spent 2 years of my life working with this band, making films for them (So Young & Introducing the Band) before this track was ever written or recorded, but I've got to say this is my favourite of all their songs, very very beautiful, and the film made (by Simon the drummer, so I believe) is absolute quality. Makes me feel strangely nostalgiac, and remember what a great band they were.

  • didn't know this was a single. It deserved to be - should have been on one of their A-list albums though fits nicely alongside songs like High Rise on the b-sides & rarities album - Sci-Fi Lullabies.

  • Ok, I'm gonna tell you the truth. I'm a music lover, I have favorite songs almost from every genre, hundreds of songs, and it's really hard for me to distinguish which ones make my hairs dancing on my skin more than others, but this song/performance is so powerful...I don't know man, it makes me feel weird. In my top 10

  • The best band ever...

    Really dramatic song from them..

  • Suede is like no other.. No other band came close, even Oasis or Blur. Well that's for me..

  • @Tomatoizm Pulp and Radiohead, but that's it.

  • @Tomatoizm i love oasis but suede just have a sound thats so good!

  • i could'nt agree more that this one of the best song in the B side ........... the lyrics is meticulously beautiful.......

  • this song was merely a b-side....a lot of bands would pay to have "a" sides like this....amazing song...one of their best

  • I miss suede so much...

  • bestiala melodie... imi aduce aminte de ultimii ani de liceu...

  • omg, I discover now this video and I am stunned! so beautiful!!!

  • dedicate to my love..mohd hakim..run wif me baby..

  • god this is sooo beautiful.

  • he are playing in both

  • why does he write so great songs, He´s the best, noone can understand how much I love him..Somebody who knows if he are going to play in SWEDEN ore ENGLAND ?

  • I love them so much!

  • brings back memories...

  • greatest band, greatest coryphaeus

  • I'm also a David Bowie fan but never got to think the similarity between this song and Wild is the Wind. To me this is more powerfull experience even if both songs excude the same sense of longing and sorrow, and the beauty of it all, of course... Another peace that makes you forget the time and the place.

  • Wild is the Wind is a cover. The original song is by Nina Simone. That doesnt make it any less awesome, I agree that song is beautiful, but I thought you might want to know its origin

  • Actually I knew it's a cover. But anyways it's Bowie's song because it's his interpretation. Nice to tell anyways.

  • "Wild Is the Wind" is a song written by Dimitri Tiompkin and Ned Washington. The track was originally recorded by Johnny Mathis for the 1956 film Wild Is the Wind, and later covered by Nina Simone on the album Wild Is The Wind (1966).

David Bowie recorded a version of it in 1976 for his album Station to Station. Bowie was an admirer of Simone's style, and after meeting her in Los Angeles

  • Thats incredibly informative thank you.

  • Love this song!!!! I had a crush ... I discovered Brett in a festival in Norway (I came to see my favorite band... A-ha), and now I'm trying to find the albums on the net...Love living dead as well!

  • great track iv been a suede fan long time they rock i loved this track on sci fi lullabies already this video is cool shame their gone i saw brett anderson in shepards bush in may what a great show got the live in london cd aswell cant wait for next gig

  • in terms of melody, one of their most exquisit and acomplished pieces... superb ambiance...

  • Very atmospheric song.Reminds me of the feeling I get when I listen to Bowie's Wild is the Wind. Superb.

  • That is the exact feeling but the song Wild is the Wind is a Nina Simone song

  • Thanks for the correction, although Wild is the Wind was originally performed by Johnny Mathis.Suede rock.

  • I did not know that thank you.

  • if you like this check out the live youtube version it's pure genius

  • @lozz271092 Wow, never thought of that, but yeah, you're spot on about that observation. I love both songs.

  • This song ROCKS!!!!

  • Simply the most awesome song played live. So much more feeling than the original version. Too bad they are not around anymore.

  • This is by far and away their best song!

  • good song i like this group

  • actually I like most of their B-side songs....like 'another no one', 'pigs don't fly'.....and singles such as 'the power', 'the wild one'....'sleeping pills'...,'by the sea'....they are briliant...

  • i saw them at Reading festival '97 in England! It was great...actually i've been 5 times in their concerts

  • magnificent song...with an incredible video shot by the drummer I think...the lovely Simon

  • one of my favorite song. but i like "indian strings" the most

  • I love this song...and it was surprisingly written by the bass player, Mat Osman :)

  • seductive barry de pulp? quien copio?

  • i love suede really...am an asian but it really stuck the british acts...

  • One of their finest, but I like the original version best.

  • Whaat? Original version?

  • The original version is on the Trash single. After they did a new version of it live they decided they wanted to record it and put it on the Sci-fi album.

  • I've never heard the original version, what a shame. Thank you for the information by the way. :)

  • Great song!
