How could we ever stop countries like China, and other developing nations from burning massive amounts of fuels in the future? There are an estimated 300,000 to 3 million under sea volcanoes. You are taking a long time to say that we should act as if global warming were a result of man's activity. If it turns out that we are are right in this presumption, then we will have done something positive to mitigate the effects coming the planet's way. If we are wrong, we will have simply made an error in analysis and caused no more harm along the way.

This is not a point that requires a 10 minute video with diagrams to put across. It is simple.

Even worse is your assumption that government regulation could solve the problems anyways. The free market could. Look at countries with heavy environmental regulations, and you'll find the countries that pollute the most.

I'm not saying that I disagree with you, but it seems as though you're making the claim that your argument is purely logical, when it isn't. You have made the judgement, but have not proven that the consequences of not taking action when necessary are worse than taking action when not necessary. It is possible that they aren't. This brings the debate back to the same impasse.

great video, one thing, if there was no global warming, and we did spend money on saving the planet from it, than that might not be a bad thing. If we were to stop using a fossil fuel based economy, instead be using hydro power, not only would that make everything from heating our homes to fueling our cars a lot less expensive, but it is renewable so we wouldn't run out after 150 years of using it. Either way i strongly believe global warming IS upon us so we should do something regardless.
