nafta was the best thing to ever happen to america economically. america has a consumer based economy, and nafta gave america the ability to import commodities extremely cheap.

get rid of nafta and hydro electricity, building materials, fuel, natural gas and base metal prices would more then double. thus increasing the wealth and power of americas trade partnes.

it's easy to complain about nafta... but more difficult to work twice as hard for half as much.

It sucks wealth from USA (in Manufac. Job wages) and puts it in Mex. or Cent. Amer BUT it does not leave the wealth with the poor. Prices get higher for us here. Jobs leave and Multinational Corps use the poor down there for labor arbitrage (cheaper wages). So all the lost wealth of the folks in USA and the Mex. and Cent. Americans are going to corporations. Buy as least as you can until it gets better. FUCK THE CORPORATIONS. Then the rich buy the land from the old poor farmers--them richer.

Well, I keep hearing Illegal immigrant this and that. That word has been used to dehumanize undocumented residents. As a child you feel powerless in front of this term. But there is nothing that I could do, just do what I'm told to do.

Just before we left for the US there was extreme poverty everywhere we looked, but we were all poor, no one could help. I am now seeing this here, but we can still help. Soon that option will not be available.
