His partner in Ride, Andy Bell, was in Oasis (when they still existed)

yeah, they cut the anime at the right point.

I'm surprised though that it didn't do decently enough to at least finish off some of the other plots, I thought the show was really good. Most of the characters were really well developed and it was a fun anime. You could easily get into the music (although the english dubs were a little hard to like for the one guy's voice in his songs... his japanese counter-part sang wayyyyy better. the one exception being the english song at the end.)
