i my opinion,Carvin guitars are very good and reliable, but still prefer the PRS, if you can't afford buying a PRS and you like a floyed rose tremolo, then go for the Carvin,
the PRS are lighter in weight and have smoother neck.
@navezou94 Bought a CT6 and the neck split near the head stock. Carvin will not cover under warranty. Luteer said it was a bad wood grain choice. Carvin wants $600 to fix a bad product. What a rip off.
@mrichman As good if not better. Take PRS quality, and put it into a guitar with millions times more options (USA Custom), and then cut the price in half. It's essentially a PRS private stock for $1500.

I wonder how this compares to a PRS Custom 24 in fit, finish, and overall build quality.
mrichman 2 years ago 3
It's at least as good if not better.
I can't think of any reason to shelve out the 3000 dollar upcharge just to get a guitar saying PRS on the headstock instead of Carvin.

@Usercool dont forget PRS's flying bird inlays, but your right Carvin is just the better choice
achilles09834 2 years ago 2
Unless you really need 24 frets, which is not offered on this guitar, but it is offered for other Carvin's guitars.

@builditwithlegos Now this guitar is available with 24 frets!
