  • Dagnabbit!

  • du.... :)

  • TUGBOAT TIP. FLABBEDY FLIP.

  • i thought it was going to be much worse.... talk about hope lost

  • LOL GET ON THE OTHE SIDE OF DA BOAT

  • @lebensraummetal ahahaha

  • нармальная сетуация в порту

  • people please be serious about this. That man could have een injured or even dead

  • Boat: "hahaha just kidding!"

  • San Diego?

  • @Duluiyah Looks like Melbourne Aus with the westgate bridge in the background with newport power station of to the left of the view.

  • That person must have been really fat!

  • well done

  • nice job!

  • Looks more like they forgot she was still tied on to the ship..

  • The timing of those guys jumping off made it look like they were the reason the tug was tipping! Funny, they didn't look that heavy.

  • oh shit!

  • The Yarra is still upside down all the way out there..

  • what a dumbass

  • To see it done right, watch the crowley tug response vid. Modern tug designed to work this way.

  • What you just saw, a tug is in irons when I can't dig it's self out of a situation like this, the ship was towing it faster than it could handle stern first. Lots of things done wrong of course, biggest was having the galley door open while doing this maneuver. Too much speed on the ship. Guys on the lee side towards the ship, where the line parted.

  • the dude shit him self and jumped

  • man those guys are lucky at 0:14

  • She (the tug) got what is called "in irons" Good thing the towing wire parted, or it would have been worse.

  • @fuzzypony I thought being in irons only applied to sailboats. what does it mean with tugs?

  • Mersey estrey?

  • What a great place to stand. . .

  • man overboard!! Man!! Not woman, Man!!!

  • @Sodiumreactor Dont start this....

  • I hope they were given vaccation after this.

  • This is known as Girding. Also pointless throwing lifebuoys off the ship to the men overboard as the tug was closer to them by at least 20 mtrs. I know what i'd rather swim for!

  • lol they were fat i think

  • and the as the ship speeds up..."oh, they're alright"... should have cut the freakin line as they were shouting "cut the line CUT the LINE!" guess you were too busy holding your cellphone camera...

  • "man over board, men overboard!"...throw a lifebouy you freakin cunt

  • Why did the commander order propulsion and get underway with the tug still alongside? And why was the response to the very evidently developing situation so slow? If this is indicative of lively command and communication on US submarines, God help us.

  • at 0:15 sailor: "men over board!!!" other sailor:" Whats over?" sailor:"MEN!!!"

  • @Luecken8064 im sorry that was funny as hell MEN!

  • They should be fortunate that the towline snapped. Otherwise that boat would have capsized right over them. :-/

  • @shakenama Eh I'd say they cut the tow, That's a common procedure for ofc it's a lesser evil to cut the line than sink the tug. When working with tugs there's always for example an axe next to the bollard the towline is brought to.

  • @nallepuh6969 Oh yeah!.. totally agree with you on that.

I was in the Coast Guard for 13 years and we were trained if something was to get out of hand, like the boat we were towing started sinking, it would be time to break out the axe. :D

  • ha ha wot dis shit? stupid fagots o som shit wan fuck dem ship ha ha

  • he got his weight off and ..voila!

  • Maybe a diet is due for the crew. When their lard-butts jumped off, everything was ok! Except the fact that the ship has nobody to run it afterwards.

  • BIG THICK LENGTH

  • If he didn't say "GET OUT!" the crew wouldn't have jumped in the water and they'd still be in an upright boat.

  • Comment removed

  • So where was this video taken? Certainly interesting.

  • @Olentzaro

Thats Melbourne, Australia. The bridge is the Westgate, the chimney is Newport power station.

  • This is not funny. That was the newly commissioned U.S.S. Barack Hussein Obama manned by a crack crew of ex Somali pirate emigres! Another set back for socialism, such a shame.

  • the guy who jumps in is thinking: "THIS SHIP HATES ME!!!"

  • Is that the Westgate Bridge in the back ground?

  • "Man overboard! MAN!!"

  • thats why on all tug boats they have to have a ax mounted by were the cable is

  • @quadr12 an axe? Fuck that Id prefer a diamond blade 12 volt high torque cutter.

  • @DjTommyKx Axe is quicker & doesn't have too many moving parts to catch on the line/cable as it parts. There are few cutting tools as fast as a scared man w/ an axe needing to cut a line or his ship sinks w/ him on it.

  • The Captain turned on the "No Fat Chcks" sign and saved the ship!

  • must have been on the mates watch.not funny though!

  • Sometimes when you try to tame the beast it bites you...lol That boat was not even slowing down...lol

  • The soon those two heavyweights jumped, the tug rolled back. Obese much?

  • Fat asses!!!

  • Couldn't believe they jumped into the coming current !! For it to wash them straight back into or even under the boat, for all the deck hardware and rigging to tangle them up and drown them. They are lucky as!

  • lol as soon as they jump its finemust of been a fat guy

  • that's not funny

  • @schumy90 Why? Nobody got hurt. Also, where in the video does it say "Hilarious tug boat tips over!"...it doesn't.

  • DO A BARRELROLL!

  • wheres capt Ron?

  • The fat guy must've got too close to the edge.

  • @zhmapper Yea probably because it went back as soon as they dived off lol

  • lol thats one way to get rid of the wanker no one like's on the boat lol

  • lol

  • thats called irony you jump off and it rights itself lol

  • @blobby1972 He must've been pretty fat

  • @blobby1972 No it's not irony - it's called bad luck. Irony would be if they jumped off the tugboat and were going to survive, but were then run over and killed by another tugboat that was coming to save them. That would be irony . . . . AND bad luck.

  • @kevjay777 so you jump off because you think its going to turn over and when you have jumped off it rights itself .and thats not Ironic ? OK if you say so.

  • @blobby1972 In fairness yes it could be called ironic as is. But 2 me an ironic event has a 3rd element. While jumping off the tug as it's 'sinking' only to surface & see it floating again was unexpected, for me in order for it to be ironic another "related, but opposite" element is necessary such as the one I described earlier. Another would be if the guy that jumped had done extensive research on the topic of capsizing ships, & teaching crewman when to abandon ship. See the ironic twist?

  • @kevjay777 well way to put a nerdy comment which is really unnecessary

  • @Morseman218 I don't really understand what you are saying.

  • that tug boat has super charges the size of chucknorris's balls come on man, no skill i blame the captain

  • wow that was stupid

  • fail tugboat

  • that door shoul be closed during operations

  • Girting = poo in pants

  • its melbourne westgate with newport power station to the side coming out of the marribinong river victoria australia

  • looks like its on the yara river melbourne

  • is that at the mouth of the brisbane river in morton bay AUST? the guy yelling sounds australian and the bridge in the background looks like the gateway.

  • As you say - it is called girding but it is entirely the fault of the pilot controlling the move and the master of the vessel utilising the tugs. This is very often fatal!!

  • no where near terrifying, try being on a harness and lowered off a 60 gantry in a force 6 gale 6ft out from a concrete pylon on a 250ft high oil platform with 25 ft waves comming up to meet you ...

Thats terrifying...but the money is good so who gives a shit.....Only women get scared...Why???

Because they never grew a pair of balls.

  • More to do with the tow line not being goged down. The tow line should be passed through a gog line or winch at the stern of the tug, allowing control from either stern or towing hook. Being towed backwards by the main vessel is no problem then, at any speed, (apart from turning the trousers a bit brown) as you are never positioned beam on. The tow line was also tripped not broken at the end, another lesson, keep those tows hooks greased lads.

  • Stupid man overboard!

  • I work on tug boats and dipping the gunwales under when going beam on like this isn't uncommon. Teaches them a lesson about walking around on deck with all the hatches open. I bet it was a mess inside.

  • tards

  • This is called girding and should be a lesson to all tug crews to keep hatch's and water tight doors closed.

  • They were lucky to break lines before the boat capsized. And that it worked. Had they listed much further the ship would have not righted itself.

  • haha

  • dumbasses.

  • english next time please!

  • i wrote: holy shit
