This is late but hey. I am a straight woman, but my husband spends a great deal of time shaving and sharing a bathroom teaches you way too much. LOL. First off, shave right after a hot shower (softens the skin) get a gel warmer (prevents the niks and pulls) and use the Venus women shaver. Makes you smooth and since it is for women it is a better quality. I got him using it and he swears it is the best.

You tackled shaving nicely, but I'd recommend shaving with down strokes only. This prevents ingrown hairs. Also, it is my understanding that black guys get ingrown hair easier. Maybe that's what MTR06 (Antoyneo) is referring to and why he's suggesting a beard trimmer instead.

Ingrown hairs can also occur when hair doesnt fully emerge from the skins surface and instead sits coiled underneath, leading to bumps and possible infection."
nice but from brother to brother i wouldn't advise shaving with a razor you'll see what I mean when it starts growing back. Invest in a beard trimmer you'll thank me later

correct in deed my brother keep the skin natural and sexy...its the course hair we have. the way it grows back it curls so automatic ingrown hairs.
