if you haven't watched other grown men getting their freak on then you aren't watching very much contemporary dance and performance. That's ok, really. It's just not ok to use that ignorance as motivation to tell others how to live.
...and clearly you need to address your issues, like the need to tell people what they need to do, especially when their art/performance is actually how they address their issues. I am concerned about the people you work with and I hope you are both more respectful and more understanding of their Cases than you are with my performances.
Can i ask, do you get paid for this? Clearly you are passionate about your work but i have never been to a Theatre where grown men feel like they need to 'get there Freak on' this was very disturbing to watch. i have seen similar Cases where i work.
