I love your reaction to this rescue-video. But as a Dutch horsewoman I keep thinking: where were the men? Where were the horse-trainers, the galopping riders... No men! Do you understand?
It tears me up too, but it makes me very sad to see clearly demonstrated that all these people that breed horses have very little idea about horsemanship. It took how many days to realize that herd animals needed a herd leader to lead them to safety?
They had to wait until the water level dropped to a point the the horses could walk out instead of swim. Submerged wire fences would have trapped them and more would have died. Leading them off was a once only rescue and they had to get it right first time and be sure the herd followed the right route.
Those riders were very brave, if their own horses had stumbled in the path of a hundred frightened horses there is a good chance they would have paid with their lives.
This is so touching, to see mankind save such beautiful aninals, it shows the bond between horse and man. It is such an amazing story, though 19 horses died. Life is full of God preserving moments. Best video I have ever seen.
I love this video and I never get tired watching it. I love how the gait of the horses show their pride and happiness for their rescue. Hats off to all who made this rescue possible. It restores my faith in mankind.
@khataroo This is what the good people of the Netherlands do! compare to what is being done to Wild Horses supposedly protected by a Law of Congress in 1971....The world must pay attention to the plight of the tens of thousands of Wild HOrses being terrorized, killed, neglected, abused...by a USA government agency...People of the world, PLEASE look it up here on Youtube and HELP them!!!!
Grande!!!! La vita vince questa volta. Benedica Dio a tutti quelli che parteciparono nel riscato.
