Nah bro,relatively speaking it's not. turntablism is brand spanking new in comparison to classical music or jazz. The turntable is a new instrument, and alot of the "new school" scratch techniques haven't been around for more than 10-15 years, and some of them are only a couple of years old. That's why people don't know what's up.
