Thanks for watching & commenting Beedollars. You are correct about folks needing to put up their own site. Webspace is cheap, (just saw an ad on TV for less thn $8/yr from a very lrge hosting co) sites are easy to make, and search engines will always be the best way for people to find you. Plus to rely solely upon ebay anymore is just plain madness!

There is no level playing field, they do not even adhere to their very own rules. And the platform changes at a rate no one can keep up with. :(

With all the changes (including the recent announced fee changes), all I can say is there are other options than greedbay - eBid being my one of choice. No listing fee's, a very small final value fee (no FVF if you dont use a thumbnail pic in the gallery), and a good feedback system. Plus you also have the option to use google checkout, PPPay or Paypal.

When you get the chance try look at the film.

So many similarities you would roar. It's not just the flim flam it's the cops that are on the the take and try shake down flim flam and end up getting busted trying to spend money thats counterfeit. It's sort of like the Pay Pal police.

Gmajors, I don't believe I ever saw that movie.

But I understand it was about a flim-flam man.

One important part of the flim-flam is that the issue of "trust" is brought up time and again, hence the term "Confidence Scam"

Who (or what) do we know whom is always bantering on about "Trust"?

As far as huge2na over there, my feelings are that pp would have been far better off simply refunding him, admit the error / wrongfulness & making a sincere apology.

This video is stupid. I am an eBay seller as well. Rather than be a bitch and whine like the rest of you, I adapt to the changes and step it up as a seller. Sure, I've been screwed by buyers who didn't pay for my books, etc, but I move on! eBay gave us the ability to be self employed and quit our day jobs. Yet, you throw them to the dogs. Trust me, eBay is NOT going away.

eb pp has been implicated in a 'circular counterfeit scheme' where FAKE items have been found to be resold, rather than destroyed, & seem to be finding their way back upon the eb site...

It appears the fakes on ebay, which are returned to PayPal, 'for destruction' are instead being sold to parties who in turn resell them so that they may turn back up on ebay.

This has been mentioned repeatedly & ignored or deleted from ebay forums for at least 2-3 months

The mantra of "get used to getting negative feedback" is interesting. You can see it on unca griff radio show on youtube. The high school account reps and chat board representatives all say that negative is just a comment or opinion. You shouldn't really care about a negative. In fact, Griffith tells us to "shrug off" the negative and move on. This negative feedback thing is complex and NOBODY has correctly identified the true intent with eBay's latest improvment

Fruity, wmm6 is windows movie maker 6, comes standard in Vista. Windows Movie Maker 2 is standard in XP, so either way you should have them. The text add feature(s) is under tools>add titles> etc. Easy. You'll see it.

If you want any special fonts etc you will need to install them.

Jahshaka is free and will do more than you can imagine, but steep learning curve.
