Trobar de Morte, The Moon and the Nightspirit, Qntal, Omnia, even stuff like Corvus Corax... no one is into any of them around here, much less wanting to create pagan inspired, dark, folk/medieval style music themselves.

I don't think popularity itself kills music, it's the attitude of the mainstream listeners and record label pressure, etc.

If people truly like the music, I don't see a problem with musicians getting popular. If they treat it like the 'flavor of the week', that's when problems start.

Besides, I don't mean for them to go 'platinum' or anything... it would just be nice if there were a few people where I live to make music with.

ufortunatly popularity leeds to mainstream and it hane destroyed many subcultures already punk, black, metal etc yea there is nothing bad of musicians getting popular the bad thing is that one that happens there will some musicial tha will do that for money and as they will work as mainstream easy listening stuff the "true" musicians will fade out and every poser will say that he listens that kind of music.....
