While reading about sea chanteys called Hog Eyed Man. I was curious as to the meaning of "Hog Eyed Man". I learned that this phrase refers to the same thing as a one eyed snake, a sexual reference. Also original version of this sea chantey had the non PC inclusion of the "N" word..
This was the stand out song from the Rogues album, one man a fiddle and a few handclaps and he kicks everyone else on the albums a***. When Dylan first went to the UK in the early '60's one of the things he wanted to do was see Martin Carthy play.
@jumblyman I was also very fond of "Drop Of Nelson's Blood", "Fire Down Below" and "Bully In The Alley." I dont know dude there's a handful of good songs on that double disc.

hog eye was a type of shallow water ship used in rivers and lakes. "Hog eye man" was a dig by deep sea sailor at river sailors
