  • Lol reminds me of Patrick Bateman

  • 1:28 - I think it's ok to let her die.

  • @me2b1 I can really care less to hear this. It wasn't my point. My point is that some people have ANIMALS that are LIKE KIDS to them. Don't give me a story where you had to kill something that is synonymous with my child. Have some internet manners! seriously! troll

  • @me2b1

    let me look that up

    ummmmm that is called

    going full retard

  • i would have left her on the side road

  • @puresomali9

if i was your dad i would've pulled out

  • @me2b1 Pets are often seen by their owners as children, and are often just as impirational as any human if not more so. Often we hear how the dog inpsires us to love others despite anything that's happened in the past. My cat taught me to love him like a child, and through him I was able to conquer the first stepping stone in how to treat children. After some time, my sister has finally approved of me in babysitting her children after I've found understanding with them as well.

  • @yamba01

    thats okay i guess but

humans should be treated better than animals

  • yeah fuck that bitch my clothes aint getting dirty!!! lol i wonder who answered like that just to get a reaction off these people.

  • YEAH!

  • That is cold blooded, if I was in a position like that I would help

  • This explains why The Evil ass whiteman never gave a fuck about Blacks in Africa!

  • would you help a white stranger dying in the road?

  • lol, Blacks in Africa been killing other Blacks in Africa before they met the White man, though admittedly, once they met the white man they were able to kill other Blacks more efficiently than ever before. Yay for guns! :)

Oh, and I'm Black by the way, in fact, I'm African so feel free to call me racist whenever you're ready.

  • I don't know what you are! you sound like a damn fool to me! yah For guns? you a fucking devil dude!

  • @cellavb447

    wow

    just wow

  • i will take of my expensive suit. leave it on the side and come back for it later duh. If you dont take it off you will not grab her right youd worry about your clothes getting dirty. And why would you be wearing a designer suit in the woods?

  • Exactly. Who the fuck wears designer suits on walks in the woods, anyway?

  • :) Maybe you are a mobster who just finished burying someone lol.

  • well no shit... you cant leave some one on the road when they are on the other side of the world and you dont even know that they need help

  • LOL, right no shit sherlock. I wonder how much money they spent to figure out that if somone is across the world you wouldn't help because you wouldn't be aware of it.

Hell I thought this vid would give some insight into evil.

all it did was explain something any 10 year old child would know.

  • "The material brain that gives rise to the immaterial mind". Is that a fact? I suppose that Unnationalistic Evographic can truthfully report of the absolutely empirical, scientific data that supports this "rise" rhetoric. Well, I do have to ask since all of the unsuspecting, intentionally CFR dummied down, Federally administrated, evotard, public school commenters here haven't a clue of the difference between their baboon ass & a hole in the ground. But they sure know gender, race & social class

  • Bologna! His crimson clad Baboon ass in a mafia metallic, Mario Monkeytard designer suit doesn't have anything to stop him from brachiator branch swing'n his dog bitten, atrocious carnage ass out of there. Since St. Simian Selection of the Tree Descention makes the unintelligent, enviro-Gorey selection of DEATH for those who are not the defective, 3 armed Gibbon gripped mutants that will certainly get many, many dates with the opposite sex & be the proliferate progenitors of future Evorangutans

  • very interesting stuff...disturbing, but interesting

  • its ever so popular to have one side of the face in shadow theses days, I think they need to reinvent the hat to accommodate the style

  • WoW this is realy cool stuff.

  • That's crazy.... The technology today is amazing.

  • Morals are an evolutionary adaptation. A species with morals will help each other and have a far greater chance of survival.

  • That is correct, scouthound. Evolutionary psychologists call this reciprocity. It deals with - among other things - sharing and favours, including remembering and repaying those who have helped us in the past, as well as the more 'vengeful' instinct to identify 'cheaters' who will take favours while avoiding returning them. Depressingly though, as one moves deeper into this relatively new view of human behaviour it becomes increasingly difficult not to see ourselves as machiavellian cynics...

  • the brain is the most powerful object ur body can be inslaved but your mind cant

  • you've obviously never talked to a scientologist...

  • Our mind can be also slaved. Why .... just think what you just wrote.

  • There is proof of consciousness living through the body. All that structural stuff like "where emotions happen" is majorly statistical. In reality, every region basically does more than one thing to help coordinate our experience of and interaction with the world. but structure alone cannot logically precede consciousness. Consciousness must organize structure into its own being. There is no brain without consciousness, we've programmed it that way during evolution. Soul? If you want to say it

  • So when next is National Geographic going to air this? I need to see the name of that chick in charge of the World Food Program. She can quench my hunger for *** anytime, anywhere.

  • thats america

  • That's preposterous.

The concept of superficiality is a human universal, not an exclusively American trait. Your post smacks of unsophisticated and simplistic reasoning, laced with ample jealousy and utter childishness.

  • your a fuking dumb ass fuk tard

  • Thanks! You too. :)

  • interesting!!

  • how could this video be in my favorites i dont watch it one time

  • someone logged on ur account

or u left it on and a friend or family watched it and favorited it =]

  • she must be taken to a hospital immediately and as soon as she is fully recovered she must give to the guy a new designer suit AND a bj

  • smart man.... you might get money too. or a robot

  • Darn it, I didn't watch it.

  • No matter what science can't explain everything, even the brain... it's a chunk of meat in our head along with the rest of our body. No matter all the facts it does not make sence what we can do because it's out SPIRIT.

  • "Let's hear it

    come on I say

    SPIRIT

    let's HEAR it"

    Were you a cheerleader? :)

  • No wtf lol.

  • There is no proof of a saul or spirit in out bodies.

  • I hope this is a troll job because that was the most idiotic thing that has ever been posted on youtube IER.

  • Which part (was the most idiotic)?

    Is that even possible?

For some reason the word SPIRIT now makes me think of the boogieman

And I don't mean Grand Master Flash

  • does anybody know where i can download full length NG videos..?? please

  • As an anthropologist, I stress that studies like these assume a Western worldview is a universal paradigm. I'm concerned that National Geographic may have (deliberately?) edited out criteria that predicates this study, and others like it, on certain cultural norms and values. "Evil is a complex of the mind," yes, and a particularly Western one at that...

  • IT could even be relative within a western society.

  • Right, but I'm worried that this particular study uses "evil" in a way that universalizes it, as if Western notions of evil are, in fact, universal notions of evil. That may not be the case, so a study like this is biased from the start. The fact that this scenario has a direct correlation with the Western and Christian "Good Samaritan" allegory also complicates the study. It's as if these researchers tailored this study to a Western mindset...

  • Evil is a concept of the mind..has no substance in the natural world. Studying the mind using the mind is the only science where you use the same tool you are studying. Weird isn't it. Only an American capitalist pig would leave that woman on the road next to you or 1000 miles away.

  • I would really like to think that nobody would just leave her there, but leaving her 1000 miles away is somewhat of a different issue. Every dollar you spend for yourself, and not helping starving 3rd world victims (lets say), you are somewhat guilty of this .... You can't help everyone, and it is much easier if you don't see them.

  • @DellwoodPark fuck ya bitches hhahaha!!!! agreed!!!!!

  • no1 would leave her there

    even if you were evil,

becuz if she lived ppl would find out you left her there

  • time travel helps all 3 i mean 4

  • No "part of the brain" - just the opposite - it's a normal limitation in our capacity for recognition, sympathy, etc. Human brains are optimized for close, 'human' association of only around 150 other people (or pets, or whatever). Look up Dunbar's Number if you're interested.

  • 'Evil', as opposed to 'insanity' is when one CHOOSES and DESIRES to act in an abnormal way to DELIBERATELY humiliate, control and inflict harm to someone/something. We call them "sick", but this can also apply to the darker essence within man. Most keep it in check. Evil is when one chooses not to.

  • there are people out there who would have listened to that statement you just made, killed you and went about their business like picking up the mail. if its one thing we all hate good and evil, are lippy motherfuckers like you

  • It makes sense to act in a way that makes allies and does not create unnecessary enemies. It's a simple logical choice. The only emotional response is toward the stupidity of the question.

  • very interesting

  • Very fascinating...

  • Yes they would speak of a "known fact", as psychologists are supposed to be scientific - i.e it is a known fact among scientists that evil is not a valid concept. There is no such thing as evil, and scientists to not ascribe such religious ideals to what is a scientific issue. If these people are looking for "evil" parts of the brain, then they are wasting their time. Look up Hierarchical Temporal Memory if you want to know something about the brain.

  • well, evil is not a valid SCIENTIFIC concept. Science just looks for objective evidence, while evillage is subjective, but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist. They are looking for the parts of the brain that light up when we do evil

  • dont rite when u noe part of it...

    "little knowledge is dangerous"

  • too much knowledge is bad in the wrong hands, but thats stating the obvious opposite.......who knows we could both be wrong. a persons first taste of knowledge as a toddler could be a determining factor as well

  • true...

  • no researcher in psychology would speak of a "known fact" and especially not in connection to what you said, that just not right. so don`t try to say something supposed to sound "intelligent" if you ain`t got an idea of the topic...

  • Am a fan of this Channel, but this is Bullshit mate

  • Wait that would explain how we know how each other is feeling, it ties in with the physchic ability that scientists beileve we all have so that ability can pick up on the brain fluctuations when we are feeling emotion, it's a pretty interesting theory but some of you would probably think it's a load of bull.

  • i don't think it's physchic ability's. i think it has to do body language maybe it is sub-conscience reaction

  • This video makes it seem like 95% of people are evil, because 19 out of 20 people flip the channel when the starving children ads come on the TV.

  • The medium is the message.

  • Ok lemme see watch starving children or

watch fat ppl lose weight? i wanna watch fattys !!

  • Interesting but whoever doesn't help the girl is pure pure evil, i would totally help as soon as i saw her.

  • As soon as you saw her but how would you act if you didnt see her face, thats the point they are trying to make.

  • This clip shows that morality ISN'T relative, that it's actually a part of human instinct.

Yes, fundies could say that "God made it so", but on the other hand they say that goodness is derived from obeying God etc, but this shows that morality is part of human nature irregardless of a person's beliefs as a moral compass. But yes, they can respond like that if they wanted; it doesn't make it true, but they can.

I'm not sure where you're getting your idea on atheists from, though.

  • Here's a reputed psychopath test: a girl meets a handsome stranger at her mother's wedding. They get on well, but she doesn't get his number. A few days later she kills her brother. Why?

Answer: she thinks she'll get a second chance with the stranger at the funeral. If you got it, you're a psycho... or understand the mindset well.

  • These hodge podge kind of tests "if you get it" don't really prove much.

  • "her mother's wedding"? sounds weird

  • Why does Mr. Handsome know the girl's mother AND her brother? He sounds more like a family friend. She seems more stupid than evil. lol

  • I'm not sure if failing or refusing to help is in fact evil. It may be heartless or indifferent, but it it evil? Is ther in fact any obligation to help? Or is that just emotional empathy, rather than a provable moral obligation? By the way, I'd help, not because it would be a moral obligation, rather out of empathy.

    The question should have posed

  • The question I would have posed is would you take advantage of the victim. Now, THAT would be clearly evil, because it is an act of aggression, that if one did it, one would deserve the same thing.

If one simply refused to help, one would not deserve help, either, in a similar situation. But one would not necessary deserve coercion or prosecution, rather indifference or disapproval. It wouldn't necessarily be moral disapproval, but disaproval by personal preference.

  • You know, if you put it in the context of the aftermath of battle, things would turn quite differently. If she's nearly dead, and others could benefit more from my help, then, yes, it'd be easy for me to "refuse" help, depending upon what I mean by help. I may even borrow from the victim to help the others. It probably wouldn't be a total refusal though. I'd probably want to spend a minute with her, though so she wouldn't die alone, show here some love or something, I'm not sure.

  • I guess that really is a different context though than what they're testing (and I'm not sure anybody has the answer on THAT one).

  • Agolosha, obviously, you aren't thinking this through. If two societies with entirely different beliefs on good and evil (and I emphasize ENTIRELY) colided, what would result but total war and (probably) total obliteration?

That's why we'd hope that there's at least some form of common "goodness". If such a commonality exists, then there's something we all can rely upon. If we have that commonality, obliteration will not happen.

  • If not the case that this exists, then damn, we're f*cked. That or maybe we need some supernatural element to save us from our eventual demise.

  • I find interesting that a very similar story is found in the New Testament, (where do you think "Good Samaritan" came from?). The designer suit is kinda like the Jewish priest trying to keep from being "unclean".

(Not trying to pick on Jews here...and I don't think the Jewish priest of the story was supposted to represent all Jews, either.)

  • Of course it's not OK to leave her to die. People here says the reasons we choose to help or not help the lady would either say something involving science or something involving religion. I believe science is at involved. But I believe it has something to do with our conscience. It tells us all what's right and what's wrong. But in the end the choice is up to us individually. There's no full answer to explain evil.

  • um.... if i saw someone stabbed behind some bushes i would probably piss in my pants

  • Come discuss this and more at scienceandtheories . freeforums . org

  • Interesting

  • this is intersting,

    jasoul.blogspot

  • Of course you're right, but I don't think you're example is very good because people are getting hung up on the particulars (i.e such a society would not survive).

  • Lol I don't think your example is very good either. B minus for you.

  • Would you want to suddenly find yourself 'dropped' into such a society?

  • Wrong. The "society" you describe is oxymoronic.

  • The point is that our entire perception of the world is based on our previous experiences of it.

Example (borrowed from star trek): If you grow up in a society where, if someone is rude to you, the polite response is to show your true feelings and become openly angry with them, while the offensive response is to hide your feelings, then you would consider most people in our world rude, offensive arse-holes. Its also likely that you would end up being arrested for inciting violence.

  • Summary: Do you think Hitler himself believed that what he was doing was wrong? (Or the many people who followed him willingly?)

  • exactly

  • Aztecs did perform human sacrifice, or so I'm told. So did the Romans.

  • The Aztecs had a complex and in some ways advanced society, yet it was considered normal for priests of Xipe Totec (god of spring and renewal) to wear the skins of sacrificial victims until they rotted off. Try that here and you'd be locked up with the likes of Ed Gein. Beliefs which unite some groups of people can cause all sorts of problems for others. I'd say "evil" and "goodness" really come down to our ability to empathise with others.

  • Jesusisyhwh shut the hell up. Go preach elsewhere.

  • Then i suppose that you're going to sell all your belongings; all those little luxuries, like a computer, TV, stereo, etc etc and donate the money to helping starving people in the 3rd world?

  • Part 1 ~ The interesting part is when your rescuing someone with a stab wound, their blood gets on your clothes, etc., which could make you a suspect. Some people might be afriad to help out because their life could be complicated by being the only witness if the person died. ~Raven

  • Part 2 ~ What is really scary though is any mind that would consider ones clothes getting dirty as a possible setback for saving a life. This scenario would have been obsurd to most 50 years ago and I can only hope it still is. I am surprised people didnt laugh when that question was asked because really only a sociopath would think about that. ~Raven

  • You also don't need to tell people what order your posts are in when they can tell by scrolling down.

  • Hey. You don't need to use quotation format when you're saying something, rather than quoting what someone else said. We can tell who's saying it on our own. Mmkay?

  • dont make eye contact and keep walking

  • Wouldnt it be kinder to take the knife out and kill her? If she is in pain, the hospital is too far away and there is no way of getting her there in time, why would you put her in more pain by dragging her over rocks n shit. Wouldnt that be evil?

  • are you sick man? mercy kill is'nt an option... what if it was you lying there? wouldn't you want to go to the hospital you sick fuck? ore is the social parts of your brain gone? geeeezes

  • Actually dude, I would rather be killed and put out of my misery then be put into more pain only to finally die at the end of it all. Of course I wouldnt of killed that chick unless she told me too. I would take out my fucking phone and call search and rescue... You dont even fucking know me so dont call me sick. Now, stfu, ass.

  • You think so. But the ultimate response...and I'm stating fact here, of the body during a time of life threatening duress is to do anything and everything in its power to survive. You don't have an option your brain would force you to seek help. This "out of your misery' crap is strictly Hollywood.

  • REvV01....some people have survived where it wasnt possible or more than likely not...Many stories such as those...No -one has the right to play God or take the control seat where we can never be sure that a person may live. ~Raven

  • Actually, I would kindly ask the individual to take the knife out of me and find that SOB and return the favor. I don't care how my brain would want it, I have enough will power.

  • Lol i would go ichiro on his ass with my baseball bat ahahahahahahahaha

  • call an ambulance moron.

  • How the hell can an ambulance get on top of a fucking mountain?

  • helicopter you dumbass

  • take your suite off, then help the bleeder.

  • is she hot?

    (-*/[

  • Stop looking at her...SEND HER TO THE HOSPITAL!

  • We have so much to learn about the brain but I believe if man lives long enough, we will learn that the brain is so complex that we can handicap our brain through thought life from our experiences. I beleive we are born with brain cellular components that come from our genes as well. I believe most sociopaths are born that way just like many other physical ailments. ~Raven

  • owned

  • Do not put down words of intelligence just because you are unable to understand them.

  • trank89....Thank you! ~Raven

  • 1Pinoper1, I think not.~Raven

  • Part 1 ~ Trastol, Science already is aware of the parts of the brains that react to emotions and how some killers have more or less activity in certain parts than the average person. People takes antidepressants to increase sertonin levels. ~Raven

  • Part 2~ Trastol..Its not like everyone was born with less but I believe some peope are. Our thought life can trigger different chemicals and in time, handicap the brain where it doesnt produce enough, period. I think its pretty obvious that the brain can be trained(Yoga, relaxation) and in time, I beleive Science will prove that thoughtlife can permanently damage the brain as well. ~Raven

  • I think one day, we'll be able to make computers that will be smarter and faster than our brains. At the the rate computers are devolping, that day may come soon. And the age of machines will dawn!! Fight now, and stop the robots before they rise!

  • Jimraynor45, did you know that scientist are experimenting with putting DNA into a computer? Pretty weird but they are trying to do that. ~Raven

  • yes..what the fuck thats fucken sick..

  • dats interesting but i mean, how many ppl wood wear desinger suit when u r alking, i mean that isnt wat designer suits r made for, but still interesting.

  • lol

  • This kid dose not have an ounce of humanity n him

  • I think he was just looking for a response which he did get.

  • wow, you call yourself and human being?

  • Thats mean

  • According to a similar study, 2% of people would rather not ruin their designer suit. WTF?

  • ...eh

  • Quite interesting actually.

  • give her a band aid!!!

  • wow that was cool

  • That was interesting

  • Couldnt I just take off my designer suit...?

  • thats what I was thinking lol.

  • Ehh. Knowing what part of the brain might be responsible is new, but few people who are honest with themselves wouldn't agree with the social aspect of the study.

  • I guess i need to quit walking down dark, country roads in my designer suit-I cant even go to the Congo?

  • designer suit? who gives a shit help her then get a good lay

  • Wait--is this the Void Kampf test? HES A REPLACANT!

  • whats the point of that??

  • realy... a dont know, i have seen to much C.S.I and they can think i kill her and put me in jail(and i like my ass to much), yes... that can happen, but i can call 911 or go to the road and stop a car or something

  • viexd, you PHAIL!

  • Interesting. Does this mean that if someone has a negative emotion like an ex convict; should we just put them to death since they are essentially useless individuals for the sake of society? Wondering if this technology would be admissible in court.

  • Of course it's not OK to leave her to die. People here says the reasons we choose to help or not help the lady would either say something involving science or something involving religion. We wouldn't be entirely correct if we only pick one answer . I DO believe science is at involved. But I believe it has something to do with our conscience. It tells us all what's right and what's wrong. But in the end the choice is up to us individually. There's no full answer to explain evil.

  • Not useless. Some religious groups like fundamentalist christians argue that morality is derived from God, therefore atheists have no moral compass. This shows hard evidence that proves that this isn't the case.

  • strange. when I heard that part my response was "of course I should help her."
