If you really want bigguns ! Use 50lb braid 25lb mono leader a 8/0 circle hook and a big brim for bait on one pole and a half brim cutt bait on another pole. Big 20 to 30lb fish come regular this way. Slip sinker 3 to 4 ounce. Have fun. Next trip. Your girlfriend will want to play the fish too !!!

Which kind that you make do i need? We go less than 1 mph, with jigs or live bait. Would like to keep them from tangling or running wrong and how many of these could i use and be safe without a mess. Can you run more than one jig or hook per planer? All i would want is to troll. I would want the ones i could use both for crappie and catfish. Medium to shallow depth. Out deep, i wouldn't use them. they all are 7 inches long 2 to 3 inches tall weight is 90 to 115 grams-fish to 25 feet or so in depth -the best depth is 2 to about 10 feet down-thats the depth we catch most of our fish- at night the top 2 to 3 feet rules for big surface feeding fish that will blast the planer bobbers bait and some times they try to eat the planer bobber too

Dan, is your ph number area code 614? I tried calling your cell phone. The store gave me your num but i didn't know area code. My pontoon, we slow troll for crappie, 6 to 12 poles out back. Using jigs. I have never used planers. It is a place we catch sauger, crappie and catfish but at times i can't get close enough to bank because i do not have bobbers and hang up while trolling. I see these would let me control depth. My toon is 8 1/2 ft wide. How many could i troll of these in back?

you are gonna have a blast -last night we had 4 channel catfish all on at the same time-most of them were in water only 3 feet deep in the mud flats-couple catfish went air born jumping way out of the water and flipped on the take it was awesome-like tarpon fishing in fresh water
