  • Great sets, atmosphere, time period, cast and direction. I hope it gets released with a better transfer than the current Lionsgate DVD.

  • Jack and Meryl should've done more movies together.

  • I THINK THE TWO GREATEST ACTORS ON THE PLANET ARE AL PACINO & MERYL STREEP

  • The cemetery scene was filmed virtually in my own backyard. I used to walk that very road with my dogs every Sunday. I remember it being filmed. It was a wonderful film! Miss Albany Diner on Broadway in north Albany, still retains the set decor given to it in the film.

  • To those who got the opportunity to read a great book : Waiting for nothing by Tom Kromer. On the same subject.

  • i love depression-era movies. i like this one alot, aside from the car jerk scene

  • this is such a sad movie...

  • In my opinion this was Nicholsons finest, most nuanced and most characterized performance, Streep is the greatest actress in the history of cinema.

  • Jack and Meryl have good chemistry...heartburn, this movies...what other flicks did they do together?

  • @samandriel You obviously know very little about strong acting. Go back to watching Saw 6.

  • @pablocoon LOL

  • Nicholson should have won Oscar here!

  • @029Mhelz Mmmm, no. Michael Douglas was better in Wall Street

  • :O my two favorite actors in the same movie! I'm gonna have a heart attack...

  • This was one of my favorite characters that Meryl ever played, Helen Archer.

I'm glad its finally out on DVD. I just have to get it.

  • thanx for upload this!
