This “tea party downgrade” is a shameful blow to our nation’s honor and risks throwing us right back into recession. Worst of all? It was completely avoidable.But when given the choice between extremist posturing and responsible leadership, tea party Republicans chose wrong. What the does taxes have do to with anything. High of low jobs will still leave the country because american's refuse to live as slave laborers. Should we concede and work for rice like the chinese? So even the Progressives may understand:

Lower Taxes = More Jobs. Higher Taxes = More Government.

Notice he said "I don't think its gonna effect me". That's the whole point---these tea partiers want cuts to everyone else's budget except their. Hold th SS checks of some of these old tea partiers and you'd see how quickly they'd want that debt ceiling raised. Also notice he doesn't know what he's talking about after he uses up his talking points.

@seymourbbest You've hit the nail on the head. Every rightwing conservative I know is just plain selfish. They have this 'every man for himself' idealism & you can't get them to budge on it. At the same time they are total hypocrites; the corporations suck up subsidies & demand tariff protection at the same time they preach 'free market'; the individuals WILL take handouts from the govt if they get into financial difficulty. I know one guy who refused welfare but guess what? he burgled instead.
