What are you talking about? Ichigo rules during the SS arc, he could kill all of his foes without relying on all those different powers, and when he did gain Bankai, it was absolutley kick ass amazing. Its after the SS arc that it went down, when his Bankai looked like just a toy to be messed with, and even in Bankai he was still weak as hell against any1 he fought.

i just finished watching the soul society bit of bleach and im up to the bount arc and the first few episodes of it are stupid and crap, like the phone and the girl or whatever and im just askion if the bount arc is worth watching or should i just skip to episode 110, thanks

The concensus around the internet is that it sucks. But I loved it, and the concensus among my friends is that if you let the plot unfold (which does take a while, the LAST 15 episodes are the best) this arc actually turns out being deeper and more entertaining than the most current Bleach episodes.

It might actually ruin Bleach for you later to not watch it. Once I started reading the manga I stopped watching the anime alltogether and apparantly missed out. But do what feels best to you.

long story short, the bounts were made by soul society and they have this ever changing plan that starts with unraveling the universe, then it's ruling the world, then it's destroying soul society. there is an awesome fight with kenpachi when the bounts make it to soul society. then kairya tells them to kill the captains but the captains owned them all. ichigo learns a new technique and manages to kick kairya's ass. the next arc with the half hallows is awesome

One of my favorite parts of the bount saga was how they developed Ishida. it was way to quick and conveniant the way he simply gets his powers back in the manga even though revealing his father was still a great plot twist. All the events that happened here added a lot more dramatic weight to when he does finally get his powers back because we see his internal struggle without them. the writers did well here.
