Im really sorry to shatter anyones illusions especially the hugely active malaysian tourism board , but as someone who has been posted here working for a multinational bank the last 6 years. In all my 35 year career in banking Kuala Lumpur is the rudest city on earth. The chinese community in particular seems to be the most money hungry, sub human, ill mannered rude savage like people i have ever encountered. Malaysia is very famous for overqualified advertisement. The advertisement they make is absolutely much better than the reality itself. Juts like their tourism advertisement that make many tourists dissapointed, KLIA is not different. The building of the airport is OK, but the services are so poor. The immigration officers are not polite at all.

Malaysia was under British rule while the Philippines was under Spain (333 years) n United States (48 years).Ofcourse, d comparison wil b unfair bcoz d British r more organized n sophisticated, government n economy-wise. Take a look at all Spanish colonies: Latin America there is no First World Country there,corruption & self-interests plague r countries, I hate to admit it but it's true. D American period "Americanized" r culture, w/c is not necessarily good for an Asian country such as ours.
