The reason I think why we aren't patriotic is probably because Belgium is a relatively young country, in its short history its been invaded by various nations, Netherlands, Spanish, Germans, ... and used as a battle ground between nations. Battered Mars bars are sooo fine. I still wear my T in the Park wristbands. We're not the best at sport but oh well we'll still have a party. They're basically places that are known for having ridiculously good looking people. We don't get rotten teeth from eating haggis all day. We also have the top plastic surgeons/orthodontists in the world if you're interested. The only Scot I like is Paolo Nutini and he is half Italian which is probably why.

I'm an American citizen but my ancestors are from SCOTLAND (not Ulster!) , so what does that make me--a groupie??? I know not all Scots are ginger, but my son Tommy is!!! Lots of Americans forget their ancestral homelands--but not us who sprung from the Highlands! Scottish culture is alive and well here, especially in the South.
