  • hey maskdefender can i do like what u did, but slower? and will it still help me develope my kicking speed?

  • Nigga lives in the Hidden Leaf Village

  • realy good method. We use cargoes for hands and feet. The main thing not to forget about trainings without cargoes. To force it is necessary to add speed. sry my eng.

  • iv also trained with the ancle waights in my muay thai kick boxing class's for about 3 weeks and after i took them off i cud kick faster but u show me in the beginning with the wall to hold for balance and shadow kicking shadow kicking meaning not hitting a target the air ima try hopefully my kicks are better but i find when i try these kicks over and over it can hurt the groine mabey its just that im not flexable anuff thats y i find it alittle pain full even after i fully streach

  • @sptheghost1000

i like to make realy long sentences even if mabey they dont completly agree wit the comonly acepted rules of gramer or speling and i hope that i can continu this sentence cause i like realy long sentences a lot and i think everyone shud make realy long gramaticaly incorect sentences like me cause i like them alot that and mispeled words that i put in my sentences that are long.

    Lol, jk. :D

  • duble kicks made me 3ed best in karate in my country

  • @maskdefender how heavy are those leg weights?

  • @maskdefender how heavy are those leg weights?

  • cool

  • Great! Man go on, you will have great future!

  • ok 1st can u mke a video on how to get that flexible

  • @southside9011 i agree with you on that !! :)

  • @MaskDefender: Part of what you are showing is dangerous especially for beginners or those that never trained with weights one. Speed is never advised to be used with weights as it is dangerous for the joints and can cause injury. You first need to make sure you got strong, well developed muscles, by running, doing squats, isometric training etc; Only then you can start weights on training and use some speed, but still being careful while doing it.

Ask any licensed trainer or orthopedist/doctor!

  • @ChrisKsan im shore if people watch this they already have streagth and are just looking to improve

  • good vid and unreal kicks bro

  • im was wondering how much does those ankle weights weigh?

  • this was a cool video. I want to also get some ankle weights now. Where did you buy yours?

  • 0:41 PRO STATUS

  • 3:46 YOU GOT KNOCKED THE FUCK DOWN

  • piccolo style

  • we use to do this exercise in tkd training. there are also variants. but nice one

  • @19082010FLY

Had the same training back in TKD.

I have no idea what your weights a like, but I can tell that it's an insane effect it actually have.

    - Do a few hours of training each day and you'll see some.. quite impressive results ;)

  • @CorvintusDK yes, I would like to train for a few hours everyday but...people do work to live...anyway have a nice day

  • what about training method two ?

  • Maskdefender,

On 2:25 you are holding your kick high, I can only hold it in the middle. Are there ways to develop that?

    Osu

  • cool

  • nice flexibility i've some serious problems doing the kicks slower as high as you do them..doing things faster is much easier, but the "form" of the kick always goes wrongs

  • Cont.- muscles involved, this in itself will not induce injury, it's more to do with the biomechanics of the kick itself, such as locking the knee at the extension of the kick (hyper-extension) at a high intensity and for a high number of repetitions over a prolonged period of time. In reading this guys training routine in the description, 300 kicks per leg at high velocity is too high and likely to produce injury.

  • @hendrikmarine ok you are a little confused, there are not 2 types of muscles being slow and fast, there is 3 types of muscle fibers being Type 1 (slow oxidative) Type 2A (fast oxidative) and Type 2B (fast glycolytic), each muscle contains different ratios of each. Weight training does indeed increase speed, but it is more to do with how you train, it's called specificity, that is, train how you need to perform. All you are doing with ankle weights is increasing the gravitational loading on the

  • ankle weights and weights in general are NOT supposed to be used for ballistic exercises! bad for your knees, back, ankles. there's no quick way to get power and speed. you just have to practise the kicks again and again. weights are for strength training, usually used for physiotherapy. to use them for this kind of exercise will put you at great risk of injury. i hope nobody copies him :(

  • @ubersum1 I disagree. Trainings methods are rarely "good"or "bad". It always depends on your fitness level and the way you do it. If you kick a sand bag with the weights for example its not bad. If you do air kicks with them its bad UNLESS you have the muscle to control it and do NOT kick into your joints (which 98% of people will not be able to do). But still.. dont condemn a method just because most people cant handle it (that includes me btw. i'd never do that) :)

  • I'll try that. Thank you

  • you are too nice !!!

  • People don't know that nowadays figts are decided by internet comment wars, there's no need to train anymore... ;)

  • @Burzorg33 HAHAHAHAHA YEAH I KNOW RIGHT

  • LOL say by to your knee joints your gona fuck them up with those weights

  • don't forget to maintain precting yourself, wide open for an attack. that's y i normally let me opponent strike first, so i can counterattack

  • I have a lof of experience in kicks since i have been training taekwondo for more than 11 years now .. most of your kicks are fast but they end before you hit your target and that shows that you havent kicked a bag or played sparring. Also I have tried running, kicking jumping with weights and it is really bad for the joints since it destroys them.. and if people do decide to use them warm up A LOT before you do.. atleast 30-40 mins of cardio and streching

  • @Ksaiper does these wait really ruin knee joints...... can u tell about it.. please... cause i bought them yesterday only................... tell me what will happen... to the knee joints....please tell me.... will it pain or something else...

  • @TheBookr I don't think they will damage anything if used properly, or they would never exist, try to find a personal trainer or something, I think if you do exercises with it you will get strength and speed but try not to push your joints, his joints are probably strong enough to use it like that...

  • @TheBookr weights in themselves are fantastic. use them to do curls, static holds, etc. you can use them to strengthen your entire upper leg, and to a smaller extent your lower legs. but do NOT use them to kick or perform ballistic or explosive movements. even if it doesn;t hurt, your older self will thank you for heeding this advice. train safely, and train using proven methods. just kick again and again, with good form, and you'll naturally get faster.

  • @Ksaiper None of his kicks ended before he hit the target, notice how it felt down? Also notice he didnt wear shoes, so he might not wanted to kick through.

  • subscribed. keep making these kicking videos tehre great!

  • great vid!!!! ive been practicing my now since i watch this video n im getting better at.

  • exactly what weights are those on your ankles? i have been looking for weights like that for some time yet none of them seem to fit my ankles, they all move around

  • His hat says "NINJA".

  • him in a fight:

    "GIMMIE UR MONEY!"

"hold up man i just gotta stretch"

    :D

  • wow fast kicks dude nice they wont see them coming

  • very good technics, tanks

  • This is great!!

  • looks like Savate.

  • Rofl. That side kick was just awesome. We use it to with Pencak.. guess every Asian art has influences from eachother but it was just humor how the dummy fell. Not that there is much left if it's properly executed on a real person..

  • nice kick´s, dude

  • Hey man, its been proved that training with weight is a wrong theory that only makes you slower, letme explain, you have 2 types of muscles for movement, 1 type, generates power from speed, the second type are for slow effort, when you train with extra weight, you are using the second type, training your body to hit harder, but slower

  • @hendrikmarine Then how bout we train both?

  • @TheTheNinjaPoptart thats the ideal, but its also a fact that the best kicker is not the stronges, but the one with more technique, in other words, if you want to kick hard... kick a lot, that way, your bodie's muscles start to adapt to that kind of excercise, and your body is more fit for kicking :)

  • @hendrikmarine WELL I CAN DISAGREE WIT DAT CUS I USE DEM AN IT HAS NOT SLOWED MINE DOWN BUT INCREASED THE SPEED

  • @june14211 well if before using weight you were not an expert kicker, i think its just logical that you will get faster? Duh...

Anyway this method is not bad at all, all i meant is that it doesnt make you faster, of course after you remove the weight you feel lighter and faster,.. But kicks are meant to be strong, so teres nothing wrong with training like this! But if you wanna kick hard... kick a lot! when have you seen a drummer use weigth for speed?!?!

  • @hendrikmarine u can use weights or no weights 4 speed tho...but i prefer weights..i dnt get u on ur last part tho 4rm but if u wanna to weight 4 speed

  • Comment removed

  • the way he gets up at 43seconds, what is it called and how to do that ?

  • @arvind2712 It's called a kip up, look up some dedicated tutorials for it on Youtube if you want to learn it.

  • @mediumpro88 Can you suggest another method of training?

  • He needs to put some water in water holder at the bottom so that bob doesn't get knock down so easily!! Poor BOB! LOL

  • HOOOLY SH** feel the power 4:27

  • 2:24 I can't do that part,,but nice training method...

  • very good....

  • after days of using the ankle weights , my foot return to the way that they were in before ! like nothing happend !

  • Just asking as someone potentially going to competitive taekwondo. What to do to build endurance first? As well as flexibility?

I find those two points as well as the speed of my kicks are my main weaknesses in sparring.

  • @Arvendragon The thing he does at 2:43 is endurance training, you can also jogg as far as you can and really push your limits. You need to do it often though or else your body wont adapt

  • caramba, mas q chute rapido

  • All RIGHT!

  • speed come from the big toe. =)

  • do it with your left foot plz ;D

  • Thank you for posting!

  • hmm. my instructors tell me not to train fast kicks with weights cos you can harm your joints.. so I don't think this is recommended.. or am I totally wrong?

  • @plowenson shaolin monks have been doing it since the age of 4

  • @TheMostOffensiveName yeah but tell me what crazy things those monks don't do?? LOL

just kidding. it was just what I was told since if you have weights on your legs, every time you kick hard the extra weight pulls the joints.. I think I'll do the slow kicks with weights for now :P kicking high and fast is good training anyways :)

  • @8bobthebuilder Of course training with weights on you legs will make you fast when you take them , it's a fact the weights make you slower by decreasing your propelling energy, so therefore if you remove the weights after training , your muscles expect the restriction but don't get , therefore enabling speed and better control. FACT

  • There is no need to use weights on the ankles too improve your kicking speed...most improvement will come simply from stretching to get more flexible in the legs and (yep you guessed it) practice! Just practicing kicking...adding special weights to the ankles or lower legs will not speed up the process.

  • You are very nice :)

  • this guy proofs that the weight of the fighter doesn't matter

if u saw like this guy in the street u may say oh look at that weak over there

but he may kick u with his FALCON KICK!

  • Good ! My kick is about powerfull

  • good kicks man....now the left leg?

  • could you please put up a tutorial on how to flip up from the ground to your feet?

i have been studying martial arts for a while but am just starting to think about kung fu. many thanks.

  • seriously?! i would recommend to stop this kind of training immediately!!! never ever train with weights on your ankles like this! continue to train like this for 5 years and you will get big issues with your knee joint. the knee-joint isn't supposed to hold such a weight in such angles. if you want to hurt yourself: continue like this. if you want to train properly: just wearing light shoes is sufficient. just a hint...

  • @KwangGae doesn't your body adapt to this kind of shit

  • @TheMostOffensiveName no, it wont! the knee is a hinge joint. which means that it is designed to work in only two directions... back and forth. so it isn't a problem to put pressure on it in these ways as long as you don't put pressure on it from the sides! many will say now that the knee isn't a 100% hinge joint, because it's still able to tip it into more directions than back and forth, even if it's just a little bit... well, that's true, otherwise you would walk like a robot.

  • but that doesn't mean that your tendons and joint in your knee will adapt to the force, which will be applied from the sides. you will only injure yourself... even if you feel fine in the beginning you will feel it years later, if you continue this kind of training.

  • @KwangGae So what would you recommend for developing fast kicks? And do you kind training with the weights on your arms would be better?

  • @TheMostOffensiveName just search for elastic bands. those won't put weight from the side on your knee...

  • @KwangGae Who is the supreme master of kung fu? You or him?

  • @MrYochio I've never said I am a master of kung fu... or have I? it's just knowledge of the human anatomy. but i guess your comment was meant sarcastic ;) nevertheless, you guys don't have to listen to my suggestions. train like you want to!

  • YOU KILLED BOB!!! Just kidding, good advice, thank you for sharing.

You got a good strong kick.

  • come on, hands up if you kick.

    but nice kicks

  • Nice

  • The exercises you do are MORE impacting to your legs/knees atc. than those for soccer I was mentioning. The word DANGER is to remember. At least I hope you started them after your body was developed, like > 16 years old when already your legs could counter the stress.

All the results you show could have been reached with some SAFER exercises, use of the weights, without putting in danger your ligaments

(NO LIGAMENTS NO MARTIAL ARTS ANY MORE FOR EVER). Man please don't show this stuff...

  • I am SORRY but the use of the weights you make will REALLY break something in your knees (i.e. ligaments). In soccer I have seen THIS RESULT for people who abused of weights to the hands - i.e. heavy balls - (as goalkeepers) and to the foot (again heavy balls, as players) believing those were useful to develop strength and speed. The result was SPINE damage (as goolkeepers) or KNEE LIGAMENTS damage (as players). ALL OF THE ABOVE due to exercises VERY simples, like simple jumps and keep.

No one should attempt to try these techniques without being trained and supervised by a qualified person." Im still gonna try this!

  • @whateverwhenever11 please take a look to my post above, and if you listen to me look for something safer.

Results are achieved with effort, tenacity and will: don't try to achieve great results quickly... it isn't usually a good idea.

  • ok for the kicks but what about his hands ? no guard ! hu ?

  • @pirespece

Some styles of mixed martial arts don't focus on guard, they use offense as defense. (I cant really tell witch discipline he's practicing)

  • @xJuniorLuytenx the guy seems to have a taekwondo background

  • @pirespece Quite possible! The type of punches and kinetic linking remind me of my Wing Chun teacher. @Maskdefender: Please tell us more!

  • @xJuniorLuytenx i believe he did tae kwondo , fan shai JKD, bagau and some animal styles wu shu

  • the muay thai add isnt a corret representaion of the sport lol its on the top right..

  • I have strong feet though. just not flexible enough

  • I'm not a good kicker. I KO my opponent with my fist.

  • @waitingisfun I ko punks with whatever I can....

  • I have a question, what do you think of the versaflex? Would it help at all?

  • Falcon Kick is why i learn taekwondo :D

  • well, kicking fast and efficient.

    good technique, I like cool.

I look more videos like this.

John Joseph Solomon - Sâo Paulo - Brazil

  • hmmm I got stuck on the 1st stretch >.< lol

  • If your goal is to win in a fight, Why waste years to master the martial arts when you can master punching/Kicking the grind to win.

  • @wric01 what if your fighting some big buff chick with arnie muscles and clearly no nads? and let's say she wants to chop of your balls or bake your cock or something, and your in a locked empty room, how do you defend yourself from that? i think i that's when you'll need martial arts training.

  • Ankle weights just put more stress on your joints , which then make your joints weaker.

  • Nice men! fast, strong and accurate!

  • I like how you kick

  • *fap* *fap*

  • Nice video man!

  • Don't get me wrong i'm not putting this guy down it's good what he can do.But kicks like this won't do any damage to your opponent. They're ok for competition but on the street it's just gonna make your opponent angry..

  • @toadymc722 I dont know, I have been on the receiving end of some of these kicks. They can do some damage with timing.

  • @toadymc722 competition = no shoes, street = with shoes

  • @toadymc722 I think he is trying not to make contact with most of these kicks. If he wanted to land them with his speed and accuracy, nobody is going to be angry-they will sleep. Especially with a neck kick. Bob fell over when he wanted him to and that should demonstrate the power when it is applied.

  • Where`s Bobs elbows / guard - he didn`t even get hit at times and he didn`t move .

  • You're pretty darn fast. I didn't like your punching video that much, but your kicks are pretty good.

  • @bruceValkyire

I was taught by my three masters that to get better whenever i were to practice

give it all i have that is 100% try ... you will feel the difference

good luck ( see i used to use ankle weights not anymore )

  • 3:46 FALCON KICK!

  • @xrunner18 Hahahaa I thought the same XDD

  • 3:46 TANGO DOWN

  • LOL HE KNOCKED IT OVER!

  • Good Shyt Homeboy

  • Chun Li's boyfriend...

  • Got to love the dummy. Poor guy taking that ass whopping like a champion. He doesnt even flinch or show signs of weakness. He is the true warrior in this video.

  • This guy is good

  • Those 'double kicks' are an absolute waste of time.

  • @Wykesidefruitmachine why? hitting someone's kidney's + his neck is pretty good imo

  • @Wykesidefruitmachine It's a feint you noob. Harder to predict where the kick is going to land

  • @multipurposetool Really? You clearly have no real depth of knowledge at all, and I'd gamble no fighting experience whatsoever.

  • Good tips with ankle weights. It is not good to kick with ankle weights still wants to use them must watch your knees otherwise will injure yourself sped comes by doing properly. Jumping ropes etc

  • @jungchul2000 even if i use a half kg ankle weight...?

  • @bruceValkyire Yea ankle weights can be dangerous if you try to speed kick with them. You can feel it even when you kick with shoes on which are lighter anyway. If you're really looking for an extra strain you can use elastic braces to tie your thighs together while practicing. Way safer imho.

  • really good! great work!

  • Awesome lesson.

  • wow did u see how fast his kick was?

he kicked so fast that the head moved without him touching it.

Right after he takes of his weights, stare at dummys head and u can see it move

  • omg it's rock lee

  • good shit, man. now i feel like going out and kicking something.

where is your general location? the area surrounding your house looks very peaceful/pleasant, birds chirping, etc.

  • VAI FUDE O JOELHO!!NUNCA FAÇA CHUTES COM PESO

  • great!!

  • Hey, doesn't the ankle weights damage your knees if you practice kicks in the air fast?

Btw... May I say... I love your kicks/leg control ^_^

You are a great inspiration! Thanks for the tips!!

  • i've seen that dummy at the local gym store. poor mug.

  • Hail that ninja -bruce lee- asian style !

  • Don't forget to read his disclaimer!

This kind of training might seriously fuck up your joints without proper instruction & technique.

I think he should have mentioned this in the vid too.

  • 0:41 why can't he just get up like a normal person? lol

motha-fucker makes me feel bad i can't do that :P

haha just kidding man! it looked cool :)

  • you rock dude, great job.

I would be honored if u kicked me in the face.

  • The words on cap means "ninja". Yeah he's ninja \o/

  • i like you dude.your skill is good & you share ur methods.i also train like you.very nice to see someone with similar taste.!!

  • are water in the BOB ?

  • What does your hat say?

  • Poor Bob!!!! He gets it hard :-(

  • i would hate for him to land one of those power side kicks on my nuts O.o

  • @commentor911 Do you prefer a punch or a knee instead ?
