It is called a "wood graing rocker" you should be able to find them on line - the medium used is MM16 marlbling gel and you can find that on line from the US or Australia

that was good stuff, thanks, I use tables for still life and can never get the grain--with a brush--Arghh.

Time to go to the art store a buy some more tools.
