How do you get such good flexibility for the top position? I have the flexibility of a powerlifter so how can I work on training my overall olympic flexibility?
very impressive, keep it up!u have a new fan.its very sexy when a woman is strong and works out.You are the best and the most attractive,I've ever witnessed.Great body as well
Wow, I use to do squads like 6 years ago, I used to end up lifting around 400lbs. I don't know why I ever stopped, just by doing this exercise, it keep me amazingly fit. Now I'm a little overweight, but losing weight, I ant to tart doing this again, Thanks for the motivation, you are amazing and strong.
In competition I perform what is called the Squat Jerk (rather than the traditional split jerk). At certain phases in my training, I do just power jerks. We kick in the full squat jerks closer to competition. I've been doing squat jerks long enough so that I really don't need to perform the full squat jerk until the end of my training cycle. As long as I've kept up my leg strength, it is like riding a bike and I just drop down. Thanks for your question;-)Cara
How long did it take for you to be so stable in your squat jerks? I'm a power/squat jerker as well but I have horrible stability and always end up losing the bar in the front about halfway up. Problem is that noone around my area is a squat jerker so they really say nothing over than reiterate to "stay tight". Have you ever had this problem?
Years! Took a while to develop consistency. Remembering to move my feet to create the proper base, pushing up on the bar to stay tight, trying not to bow and keep chest up, messing with my grip, etc, etc. Could be a number of reasons you lose bar out front - lack of shoulder flexibility, feet not wide enough/too wide, not shifting weight correctly when hips raise to come out of squat. Hard to pin point if can't see but those r some possibilities.Thanx 4 the question!
my fav power jerkers 1st one Dimas 2nd Chinese weightlifters doing full squat jerks and 3rd one u Cara but isnt it too risky to go that much in to deep. slight unbalance and lift is failed. and wat abt efficiency of this technique pushing bar overhead till the same height as u do in split jerk and again letting bar to drop over u and again squating it up overhead its like doing twice amount of work compare to split jerk so cara please reply my queries
Thank u and YES, it is twice as much work, but it doesn't seem to bother my legs. I started out with POWER Jerks, but the heavier jerks would drive me down into a full squat. I agree with you that the SQUAT jerk is less efficient than the POWER jerk. Regardless of the jerk style (split, power or squat), my problem lies in the drive. Squat jerks simply give me more time to "catch" the bar. I can "cheat" on the drive and still make the lift:-)Can't do that with the split or power jerk.
I actually find the same thing in doing squat jerks, except I have to make up for it driving the weight back up. Do you just do jerk grip overhead squats starting at the bottom of the rep to work on this? I'd love to know.
what's the difference between a push jerk and push press? Good job on the jerks keep it up :)

I perform the Squat Jerk in competition. These are Power Jerks, a variation of the Squat Jerk. Forces me to really drive the bar up.
