  • wow.. cool... All in here are codes,,

  • The binary translation

    01001001 = L

    01001101 = 0

    01001001 = L

  • This is a little patronizing...

  • Fuck I don't speak english.

  • @hurricaneivan117 shut the fuck up it helped me on a report and who cares that u cant speak english FUCKING LEARN IT BITCH!

  • what about ISP's, routers ect?

  • @RKDisDumb ISP's are what transfer the info from the servers to your computer... Your Router is just something you get to transfer your ISP's connection throughout your house.

  • this looks just like the bittorrent ad...

  • @tastycajun0381

    Yes... They are greedy.

    Compare it my Swedish internet provider...

  • What are you doing?

    What are you doing?

    What are you doing?

  • weather in holland XD well i only have to look outside.

  • YAIIII! :D

  • The modem translate the 100111011... codes! Not the Browser!

  • @macinthosh13579 wrong. the modem makes it possible to send information by modulating a signal whether by modulating its amplitudes or its frequency. this makes it possible to send more than just one information at the same time (think of using internet AND telephone at the same time using the same hook-up). i can remember times, where you had to dial-up and thelephone was gone =)

  • @macinthosh13579 ah and actually the only thing translating binary code into something readable is the graphicsprocessor and showing the result through a monitor. a website in html is nothing else than a bunch of unicode or ascii-code coded characters that are not more than bits and bytes like everything else.

  • Good video!

  • Keep up the good video work looking good. When you have time come visit my channel!

  • well the wetter in Holland on this moment is sunny with a temprature of 26 C

  • No way out man Asian women lushfmlk.info

  • 1:24 the binary translates to yay!

  • World wide web made simple! :)

  • i live in holland :)

  • Great educational tool for elementary and middle school kids!

  • But but... how do the little people on the wire give you the information? Do they get injected with binary coded blood and come back and and make the computer create a blood drive and all the the code come back out? i dont want little people in my computer. Do i have to feed them?

  • @FilmPA86

    hahaha

  • My mom should watch these.

  • o no SPIDERS!( i hate spiders)

  • I'm not sure. I didn't even write this comment, my brother must have got into my account.

  • This video is completely wrong.

  • @NoiDontWantFries haha i am a software physics programer and i can tell you its not rong

  • @sharpshootingshow

    and I can tell you 'rong' is spelled wrong.

  • @NoiDontWantFries and i can say poopy monster, whats your point

  • @NoiDontWantFries How can you possibly say something is wrong when you have no evidence or reasoning to prove otherwise?

  • @CulinaryOddities

    IT WAS A FUCKING JOKE...jesus christ, just leave me alone.

  • The binary translation

    01111001 = y

    01100001 = a

    01111001 = y

  • @calvachea Where you get the translation i want to learn

  • Comment removed

  • binary is simply a number system, this guy has used the ascii chart of values to get 'y' 'a' and 'y'.

    in the ascii chart 121 is 'y' 97 is 'a' if you use your 'programmer' calculator (in view on your windows calculator), you can convert these numbers to binary...

  • @calvachea More like:

    01111010 = Y

    01100001 = a

    01111001 = y

    You need a capital, don't you? O.O

  • stupidity never hurt this bad before

  • this sucks

  • hello

  • Easy to understand explination of internet infrastructure

  • so who does manage which server gets which address and who keeps the record of all the addresses?

  • @TEHAStin Currently this would be the "Internet Assigned Numbers Authority" (IANA), which is now managed and operated by the "Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers" (ICANN). Both are United States based non-profit entities that manage the system internationally.

    ~Tse

  • He should have explained DNS too.

  • @RockChalkTechHawk I was just going to post this as my comment til I saw you had already said it.

  • This is nonsense, any rational person would understand that the "internet" or "world wide web" does not exist. Its simply a myth to complicate the complexities in the minds of the human civilization. These machines need to be stopped. FOR ZION!

  • bullshit

  • This guy's "yay" and "boo" are phenominal.

  • Well can any one give me the web adress capleable to access the deep web, we need all our information not just the one they want us too see.

  • The internet is not a big truck...

    ITS A SERIES OF TUBES

  • ...Did people think I meant the spiders thing? ._.

  • AAAAAAAAAAH I DIDNT KNOW TAHT WORDS, PICTURS, MUSIC, AND LINKS ARE ALIVE AND ARE LIVING IN MY COMPUTER WILL FORMATTING MY DRIVE FIX THIS? LETS FIND OUT CLICK>>>>>>>>>>>..........

  • ugh i dont want to pretend to be small ill just look it up on google oh wait how does that work...fuck a paradox!

  • @435annett trolly music is playing in the background

  • Asian wives alone and try to chat her lushfmlk.info

  • This video makes it look likethe browsers turn binary data into websites. The browsers job is to convert HTML, CSS, JavaScript etc. into websites. The binary data is another part. You don't normally type in 0110100001100101011011000110110001101111001000000111011101101111011100100110110001100100 to make a webpage with the content "hello world".

    Numbers are not related to browsers as explained here.

  • @nielsheur That's like saying a book isn't made of letters, but of words, since all data transferred in computer systems are ones and zeroes. Even CSS and Javascript can be broken down to ones and zeroes, so the browser actually does read binary. CSS and Javascript and any other computer format you can think of is basically binary.

  • @nielsheur STFU!!!Nobody loves you!

  • Comment removed

  • @Travmapunk Cool down, buddy, will you? Don't hate on people, will u? Relaxe, I haven't done anything, but explained some thoughts on this topic. Hopefully somebody loves me, why do you have to be like that?

    I actually have some knowledge on this topic, and from what I know binary isn't related to Browsers and so. But yes, MrPointless, binary involves all computer memory so HTML and so is binary aswell. But binary is from my view not related to browser in the long scale.

    Niels

  • @nielsheur ........(o_(O_O)_0)......

  • this video is getting old already!

  • instead of saying binary numbers they said packets of code

  • @xonatman Exactly. Data like that would be too big to send all at once, so the internet protocol (IP) breaks the info up into "packets." That way, we aren't all slowed down by little johnny across the street playing his xbox online with people all over the globe.

  • yaaaayyyyyyyy

  • hey how do you do the good drawing you are cooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool

  • Holland ftw =D!

  • Yay, the weather in the Netherlands ;D

    I live there, so it IS important.

  • @jaguarMKIX En nog meer regen..

    (And even more rain..)

  • This rocks, but how about a video about the World Capitalist Crisis in Plain English

  • World wide web made simple..... wow.

  • hey did you make a "how to survive deamons video"?

  • Or threw ninjas for rural areas

  • I love this channel, simple is good

  • Fuck the internet, I want magic fingers like that guy

  • mmh.. i guess if i am here, I got' it...

  • Cyber spiders tend to the world wide web as we speak.

  • 0:35 Holland :)

  • Would of been better if you just explaiend that websites come from people just like you.or else these new people to the internet will think these computers just simply exist.you do not need a server computer.i can make a website and just keep my computer on all the time.and yes it will be called a server then but its not a server computer.

  • This is pretty good. but its still a series of tubes.

  • Does that mean THERE ARE SPIDERS ON THE INTERNET.

  • @UmberNoxtrum no xD

  • @UmberNoxtrum Well, there is a part of a search engine called a "spider" so yes. lol

  • @UmberNoxtrum

    Makers of internets!

    PS. I get +1 internets for being smart!

  • @UmberNoxtrum There are bugs?

  • @UmberNoxtrum not spiders malware

  • @UmberNoxtrum no that means we are the spiders on the web coz we jump from site to site :)

  • @UmberNoxtrum yes, they eat glitchy bugs...

  • @UmberNoxtrum maybe google can cive the anwser

  • lol... nice...

  • Why it is fucking web what you gonna jump to another and be eaten by a fucking virus

  • Liked it alot

  • cool video

    excellent way to explain

  • Very Good!

  • I have been asking this question for a long time!. Thanks for explain this!!

    After see this, my new question is: For example, I put some personal videos in the youtube page, according to this explanation, my videos are living as packages of codes in another computer: "the server" .

    What happen if a person get this "server" and deletes my videos? Do I lose them?

    I allway thought that my videos were living in the "ether" and nobody can touch them.

    Can be this possible?

  • Comment removed

  • @federikensito If your videos are deleted from the server, they are lost. There is no such thing as "ether". However, there are some pages that archive the contents of other servers. But these may or may not have your videos. Overall, youtube is NOT a backup option. If you want to save your videos, get an account for online backup at providers like "mobileme" or, even better, an external hard drive.

  • They took three minutes to try to explain what the internet is, while I am able to do so in three words:

    Internet: Very Scary

  • Thanks for this explaination, it makes a difficult topic easy to understand ! Nice job !

  • thats cute i wish i could do THAT

  • LOL i just clickd on this cause it lookd cute. :)

  • hm to simple i wont to find more that wat he says knows every one -_- ;P

  • I Like the "packages" xD very nice , I get it better now! Thank You!

  • @TheSunnyhunnybunny - ...I don't think the internet has the capability to "realise" anything - its not exactly suddely say "OH MY GOD. I'VE RUN OUT OF MEMORY." and then decide to crash.

    If the internet DOES crash, however, I guess we'll just have to go outside. I'm sure we'll adapt to sunlight again. Our ancestors did it.

  • Wait...shouldn't the binary be translated to things like HTML, PHP, CSS, etc?

  • theres lots of things it doesnt explain.. this video is for people with no understand of the internet

  • Absolutely not even close to the human brain.

  • I wonder if the web is more powerful than the human brain?

  • the web is the creation by the human brain :)

  • In the world wide web, there are probably 1 billion computer connected, Just the amount of our human brain, In our brain the one neuron is connected to several other neurons, but in the case of world wide web it can no more then 2 or 3, But it do created a wide net via server connection, Its not like the web of spider, this is lots of webs of spiders in plane flat cube

  • What do you mean?

  • what? lol

  • YaY!

  • nooooooooobie

  • noob

  • They forgot to mention the World Wide Web was invented at Cern in Europe by Tim berners-lee.

  • The Internet was almost completely unheard of before Tim berner-lee created the World Wide Web and created the very first Web Browser working at Cern. In all many nations, people and institutions finally led to a useful global tool.

  • yeah but if the internet was known amongst the ELITE in the scientific community. Meaning you might not of heard of it not it was a big deal that you could send info across the world. If it wasn't for the internet the world wide web could never exist. So once again. What is more important.

  • And If it wasn`t for Electricity the World Wide Web could never exist. If it wasn`t for communication lines/technology the World Wide Web could have never existed. etc..etc.. Your argument is useless and pointless. What matters is the Invention that makes something useful for everyone. The World Wide Web changed the world. Just like the Automobile changed the world while the first combustion Engine didn`t. The invention that makes something useful is the one that rules the world. CERN FTW!!!

  • wrong, it started as arpanet in the US and some small money network in france. Along with two other networks. It wasnt just cern

  • Great video, Gave me good marks! =]

  • who hosts the servers?

  • you call this simple? i'll show you simple. ...

  • 2:50 yaaaaay!!

  • goodness, this will come in so handy for webhosting tech support... any plans for one on dns and other things? you explain it all so well, even the dumbest person would understand. :D

  • Great video, the most simple yet most effective way to make understand complex ideas. Thanks for making this

  • i'm smart but this video makes me feel like a total idiot...xD

  • Same here, this videos are helpful, interesting and great :)

  • This video would actually be really useful to explain the internet to a little kid or my mom who doesn't really get computers at all. good video.

  • 2:52 yaaaaey

  • so is getting closer to those wooden poles better?

  • It's not worth it to bring your computer, modem, and router outside.

  • Double Cool.

  • COOL>

  • haha he cant say code right :P

  • Really? You just filled a whole page with a useless story? Something tells me nobody gives a shit.

  • Cool Story Bro.
