That is curious considering it is laminated steel, the outer shell is extremely flexible yet the blade looked to have no set and just snapped.

Totally agree, which is why we thought it was safe to stop filming. I believe it was likely fractured while inside the tree, prior to "wriggling" and that removing it only revealed that it had broken.

@ayokay123 It broke seconds after we turned the camera off. Major bummer for us. It was being "wriggled" by hand from the tree.
@greenbeetlegear I just find it soooo bizarre that it would break from hand wriggling and not from the direct hammer hits.
