Wow, never saw/heard Jerry join in on the vocals on this. Wonder if he thought Bob was not belting them out well enough, or maybe he was just havin' fun...
Thank you X1J5 for posting this. Not only does it sound great, one can see Jerry play for the entire song! I first saw the Dead in 1971. Seeing them play over the next 24 years was a real pleasure. I was at the final show at Soldiers Field. How I miss Jerry.
Roadtripped to Hampton frm Atl w/ 2 buddies, 100$, a gas card and a jar of PB and NO tix. Caught 2 of 3 in 87...saw only "Stir It Up", brought back "Box Of Rain". Good times :)
always loved Jerry backing up Bobby on this one, and Brent was awesome on keys. It's hard to watch the new lineup, Furthur, without Jerry and Brent- for me anyway, it's really f'n hard...but at the same rate- I'm so glad Bobby, Phil, and the music continues to flow...

It is fun to see the boys do this song, a little out of the rotation. Kudos to Jerry for joining Bobby.

The exchange when Jerry joins Bobby during the verse is classic!

This was my first show, on my 17th birthday. Unbelievable night.
Still maybe the best show I ever saw.
The China > Rider to open the second-set was unreal. =)
