The ds is "amazing"? Hmm, I don't know about all that. I had a "3ds" and honestly i did not like it and that's coming from a nintendo fan. I liked the original dsi a lot better. If I were to purchase a ds again I would get the dsxl. It has better games and a bigger screen. The 3ds has none if the above.

Having classic games on non-gaming portable devices is a rip off because it deprives those companies of getting money that they deserve. At least with a DS and game, I'm supporting Nintendo and Square.

I keep my iPhone with me at all times and it's compact, if I wanted to play Chrono Trigger on the go under your ideals I'd have to carry my phone, and my DS. I'll go with whatever option means I need to carry around less stuff.

@mavyt Your point is valid for little $2 games with many one-minute levels. But you see, Chrono Trigger is an RPG with a deep story line. When you play CT, it's most likely going to be in sessions of at least 30 minutes so you can beat a dungeon or do some sort of side quest. Games like CT aren't for playing for four minutes while waiting in the doctor's office. If your going to play on the go, you know you'll be waiting for a while somewhere, which makes having your DS with you worth it.

@Usul573 If your on a budget, this is a great time to buy a DS. Since the 3DS is out, the prices of the DS dropped a lot (a used one would be super cheap). There are a lot of great games on the DS, including two Advanced Wars games if your into that. If you can think of five or more games you like, then it's worth getting it. Or, if you can buy the 3DS, you have access to all the DS games, and the new 3DS ones out. I have a 3DS and it's amazing.

AS 19162205 say, anybody with android 2.1 can download a nes emulator for android, download the rom and play it there, i'm playing it on a motorola backflip together with a psx emulator, also i have both emulators on my samsumg GS2 :D

@Haaris09 I guess i should rephrase that. *almost* every *modern day* key sequel from Square Enix was not that good. yeah 13 only sold well on the name alone. it was a bare bones game that was really really slow. until they re-balance the HP or Strength or Both so that battles can wrap up faster, i'm not buying 13-2. i don't care about the other stuff. It was completely stupid how Bahamut CAN NOT kill off a single enemy. i never played the newer kingdom hearts, but i did like 1 and 2.
