That was a great night. It was the first time MJ was in Moscow Russia and rain poured crazy, but show wasn't cancelled and lucky attendees. I was only 7 and couldn't go.
Lol I know it must've gotten in the way of the performance, and maybe made him a little nervous (I know I'd fall right on my ass) but he soooo should've kept it, just to slide like 15 more times.
At 45 seconds you can see him complain to someone off stage, I've never seen him make that face. Then at 52, just after he slides he looks in that same direction as if to say "See!". From there he just seems to try to work with it but I'll bet he was a little nervous.

I've worked on an outdoor stage performing sideshow stunts in October and I can tell you that what Dwayneelis said was absolutely correct. As the sun goes down, and temperatures get colder, the hot lights from the stage cause condensation to form on the stages surface. The results can be hazardous for movement, and for a dancer like MJ, even dangerous.
