I lived in Natchitoches for 7 years and Christmas Festival was one of my favorite times. No matter what your mood, when you started down front street coming into town you couldn't help but smile and feel festive. I called it the canopy, at the end of the street they would string a huge canopy of lights bringing you onto front street.
