  • Some good tips. BTW I heard you repeat the popular wisdom that searing, "locks in the juices", this is actually not true. However, it does make for a nice crust :)

  • Hi mimidaily- thank you for your comments! Thanks ~ Catherine

  • yummy !!!!!!!!!!

  • Hi metalmaster384 - here are the list of ingredients. Enjoy! ~ Catherine

    2 oz lemon juice

    3 oz olive oil

1 tbsp – your favourite herb/spice blend. Ensure the blend does not contain excess salt. Ingredients like basil, oregano, parsley, paprika or chili flakes work well for chicken.

¼ tsp ground black pepper. MapleLeafFoods 1 second ago

  • Hi Doctorscientist1998 - hope you enjoyed your dinner!!~ Catherine

  • I'm eating this for dinner:)

  • Hello.. can you tell me what exactly have you put into the marinade? I know that it contains oil, acid part and seasonings, but I would like to know the exact ingredients :) (it looks really nice)

  • @metalmaster384 - There are a lot of things you can use. normally i use just lemon pepper and garlic salt but for marinade you can use italian dressing, balsamic vinagerette or even BBQ sauce. Since im kinda sick of the lemon pepper, garlic salt, pepper personally ive been using BBQ sauce on my chicken breasts.

  • mixwell1983 Hi mixwell1983- We recommend that chicken breast meat must be cooked to an internal temperature of 160 degrees F. You will have a juicier chicken if you cook to 160 degrees F. Chicken must reach a temperature of 160 degrees F for 5.2 seconds to kill pathogens. Try this out, and let us know how you make out, Thanks! ~ Antoinette

  • I grilled chicken the other day and it come out pretty good but a little dry for my taste, I will have to experiment with different times and heat

  • Hi mixwell1983- There are many tips and tricks out there on how to check for doneness. However the only way to be certain that chicken is cooked is when it has reached an internal temperature of 175 F. Once this internal temperature is reached, bacteria and other microbes will not survive. Any additional cooking time once this internal temperature has been achieved is based on the cook's preference for colour and texture.~ Antoinette

  • @MapleLeafFoods - Thank you for the reply.. I have found that if you use the grill mark method I do 2mins one side, then turn it (on the same side) so 4 minutues then i flip it and do the same. Once that's done on direct head I usually move the breasts off on low heat for about 2-3 more minutes and it seems to come out pretty good all the time. I'm sure if thicker breasts you can leave it for maybe 4-5 minutes indirect heat but my chicken comes out pretty nice this way.

  • When grilling steaks i usually run 5 mins per side on high heat but is there a time format for chicken without having to use a thermo ? ex 10 min per side on high heat ? I know bone in bone out comes into play but i have boneless chicken breasts that it like to try on the grill but I don't have a thermo and would appreciate a general format of time to grill chicken breast.

  • Hi bakinjoo - the best way to ensure the food is fully cooked is by using a meat thermometer, ensuring that the meat has reached an internal temperature of 77C or 170F. Since everyone may cook a little differently, we haven’t listed exact times. ~ Catherine
